It’s not hard to avoid altercation. It’s a freaking baseball game loaded with families, women and children. Be an adult and don’t engage with drunks trying to test their masculinity. Skip the game if you want but don’t let fear be the reason you don’t go. Imagine our players read that we are scared to watch them play baseball in a neighboring state

I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to the LSU football game @ Ole Miss

His point honestly still stands. It’s not like multiple Ole Miss fans are going to confront you to fight over your attire. They’re probably not going to welcome you into a tent either.

Only fan base I’ve been around over the countless I’ve interacted with that wanted to start a fight over nothing is Arkansas. Still plenty of cool pigs too

Guaranteed it will be dangerous. Shiite will be thrown in the Stadium. We went in 2023. When LSU Pulled ahead that place turned into a War Zone. My Group that I go to games and Tailgate with asked me If I was F'Ing Nuts when I asked if they wanted to go!!!

I wouldn't bring my wife and kids with me to this away game. Might get a little NSFW. Definitely not going to be the same hospitality you might would normally get in the Grove.

You will be fine unless you try and intentionally go screw with the frat bros.

I have never had an issue at any place other than Florida, and that has only been people fricking with cars. After the first time you learn that if you have a Louisiana license plate you buy a "Florida" frame that you put on the day of the game like this:

A lot of their fans are legitimately insane, in a dangerous, obsessive stalker way, not a "LSU fan stuck his fanger in my booty" way.

Of course you don’t find butt probing weird

Ole Miss fans are the absolute worse. That being said, they're all p#$$ies.

Don’t be an idiot, don’t act a fool laugh off some insults, I’ll be there. The only time I’ve actually felt scared for my friends and family was the 2011 playoffs game between the saints and Niners. The nfl actually sent us an email apologizing to all of us.

Multiple? Probably not. But there are ALWAYS some assholes in every fanbase. Unfortunately, LSU has a LOT obnoxious A-holes among their ranks too. I see it walking out of nearly every home game at TS because my path out of the stadium generally takes me through the games where many of the visiting fans will exit. 99% of the LSU fans are respectful and say nothing to the visting fans. But there is always a handful of DBs who will try to antagonize visiting fans who are just walking, minding their own business.

Hell, the closest I've come to getting in a fight at an away game was at Mississippi State. A game I attended with a group of friends who were MSU grads/fans. It was the 2009 game when LSU had a GL stand to win. While leaving the stadium I was on the phone with some MSU friends discussing where we were going to meet and looking around to get my bearings on the location when some jerkoff started yelling something about a "purple shirt". Since I was wearing a purple shirt I reflexively looked up at him. He started yelling "Come on! You want some!" I just laughed and kept walking. But it was provocation for a fight over literally nothing.

The majority of the OM fanbase won't try to fight the OP simply because he's there in LSU colors. But it is naive to think there won't be a few a-holes who will try to provoke something.

They will probably be looking to arrest LSU people for stuff they would normally let slide.

Just go and have fun and don’t be a dick. That said, if Ole Miss happens to win, I’m waiting to walk to my car after the crowd clears - especially if my threshold is lower from alcohol.

I'll be there, but I won't be acting like an a-hole.
