Think of them as those loveable Florida fans from the 1990's who once Spurrier got there seemed to forget they had NEVER EVER won an SEC Title in the HISTORY of their program and yet suddenly lorded over the SEC as if they had invented the sport.

While a bit nauseating to consider, this actually makes a lot of sense. Great post.

The people who think sports are more than just a game are pathetic creatures who cannot create a life of their own so they live thru whichever team they support & react accordingly to a win or loss.

When LSU wasn't winning it was still fun. Just because we expect winning now doesn't mean it won't be fun now.

Just a tad bit more realistic responce IMHO

And i expect to win every game, but out of all my years it has never happened so why be pissed off if we lose a game all of a sudden? Every fan should be OK with losing a game or two. When you start losing 5 in back to back seasons with the talent on this team then there should be a light come on. Until then i will get our players and coaches back through thick and thin.

It's still fun for me and I love LSU football, win or lose. I don't get mad if we lose a game to a really good team (a big SEC opponent like FL or UGA, as long as we don't get blown out). I think people get pissed off when they don't play well against a lesser opponent, or look ill prepared or poorly coached on national TV. I think that's a legitimate concern.

We have enough talent and a strong enough program where we should beat the teams we are supposed to beat- fairly convincingly- and occasionally lose to teams that are equal or better than us.

Mediocrity is not acceptable with the money, facilities, coaches, salaries we pay, and the players we have.

Considering LSU geeks always score at least a B+ in all their courses, is it surprising they have little patience when our BCS Championship coach does not produce at least a B+ performance in every game.

LSU geeks will not accept mediocrity.

I don't have time to read this entire thread, but has Bad Cat posted the phrase "Immature college geeks" yet?

He's paid nearly 4 million a year to have a A+ coaching performance in every game.

why should anyone accept mediocrity?

Do you want LSU to go back to how it was in the 1990's?
