Tyson Lee is most to blame...if he just pitches the ball we're 3-1.

But he didn't. If our deep snapper doesn't snap the ball to the 1 yard line, then MSU isn't even in the game. Works both ways....we gave them a free TD once, but not at the end when it counted most. Cheer your team for a job well done.

yes, lsu is 4-0. but the team has not looked good at all. i agree with the op that said lady luck. they can not continue to play this way and keep winning. there is no drop off in talent so there are problems on this team. just not getting the coaching they need.

It is as simple as this. It ain't about 4-0 at all. It's easy to understand if you're see we're talking about Miss State. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be ok with performance, and we're talking about Miss State. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about Miss State, not Bama, not Florida, not Georgia, but we're talking about Miss State. State, man!

Teams change from year to year. That works both ways, you can't just complain and say "LSU isn't as good as they have been and we want them to be" and not accept the fact that poor teams can get better. Talking about a State team with a new staff. New staff means new energy around the program and a new style of offense. I mean, look how well that's worked for Washington this year. It was a game in Starkville, playing a team that has beaten them for the last 10 years. I'm confident everyone was pumped up for that game over at State. I am by no means saying this LSU team is perfect, but you must take everything into account.

I agree. But we, as fans, have been trying to rationalize and take everything into account for each game. At some point, we're going to have to quit making excuses. Hopefully, we can begin executing.

1) Washington--on the road, travel out west, late start time, field was wet

2) Vanderbilt-- field conditions

3) ULL-- it's their bowl game, field conditions... (did you see what Nebraska did to them?)

4) Mississippi State-- field conditions again, early start time (did you see what Auburn did to them?)

I understand what you're saying, but here is something else to consider. Why can OU, Ohio State, USC, UF, etc compete year in and year out without significant performance drop-offs, yet I'm supposed to be ok with LSU playing poorly and "just getting by?"

This isn't 2001 when we were still a rebuilding program. The program is built! It is in place! Two BCS NC's, 3 SEC titles, bowl wins out the arse, and top 10 recruiting classes and I am supposed to be OK with the piss-poor play and execution that I have seen in 4 very lackluster games?? BULL. shite.

Talk all you want about other teams being allowed to get better, but even if State had made a big jump in coaching or talent, there is NO WAY that they should be anywhere near the level of LSU yet. NO WAY.

I blame the Huskies for beating USC and knocking them probably out of the BCS again.
See this weeks Poll. They are right back in the thick of things.

OU, OSU, and USC all have a loss right now, four games into the season.

And we are rebuilding at the most important position in college football: QB. RP was supposed to be the guy this year. He's not here.

Well, I'm sure you can put a lot of that on the conferences those other teams play in, and none of those teams ever lose to inferior talent or struggle with them. As far as UF, I guess that 2007 season was a fluke for them and complete dominance is the norm. They never struggle with anyone, good call. Never hurts to have a quarterback stay with a team for four years.

You can blame our +7 best-in-the-nation turnover ratio. And if we keep it up we might be 5-0 next week.

Clever. Will you share the same sentiment when we are 4-4?
