I hope that's not a serious question.

1st off it was a question. 2nd of all how do you not think that these guys could potentially all be 1st teamers in the NFL. The Saints have a good line but face it not one star, if you think Ellis or Smith are than you are crazy. I do think like Kelly said it is a different kind of athlete and I don't just mean from the PAC-12. Our ends look and run like LB's. I think you are probably right to say no but damn I didn't think it was that far fetched.

I was going to possibly give you the benefit of the doubt of at least trying to admit sarcasm...but is clear that you are already 10 too many paint chips past retarded at this point.

Ellis or Smith

Do you think anyone on LSU's current roster could unseat either of these guys on the Saints starting D line?

Think before you answer.

Yeah we have future nfl talent, but the worst NFL team would crush the best college team any day of the week

Well I am a firm believer in speed kills, and this defensive line is freaky fast. Oregon ran nothing but quick hitter plays all night and we were still always in the backfield. I actually think that when we play traditional offenses we may be even more dominating. The first few plays of the game when Oregon had all the penalties I think it was because they knew real quick that these guys were freaks.

Any NFL offensive line would absolutely bulldoze this defensive line if they lined up today. And that goes for any other college d-line

Gawd help you if you think highly of the D-line as fans often do. This board will sledgehammer your nutsack.

Honestly, as far as idle fan talk, it's not ENTIRELY scorn-worthy. It's almost like talking about whether Miami had an NFL-calibur LB corps when they had DJ Williams & Vilma. Did Tennessee have an NFL-calibur D-line when they boasted John Henderson & Albert Haynesworth? How about Miami's backfield with McGahee, Gore & Portis?

It's just idle fan talk. Give the guy a break.

They aren't playing in the NFL but so it is hard to judge but as a rusher I would absolutely take Mingo over Smith. Logan was very impressive and I think Ellis had the USC hype coming out, not great IMO.Who is the other starting DE for the Saints? Charleston, Heyward?

You make somewhat of a point, but you're forgetting that defensive line is one of the most technical positions in the NFL, and RB and LB much less (RB being the least technical). You can't just win up front in the NFL with speed and effort. Don't be a dumb arse

I honestly don't want to sound overly critical of your opinion but thank goodness you're not evaluating talent for the Saints.
