Instead of worrying about Tennessee we need to focus on Auburn

Also Pitt and Florida is better than anyone you have played on your scheduled.

We don't know that yet. Fla St and Miss St may prove to be better than both Pitt and Fla.

Their offense is pretty good (so far)....defense blows.

Their offense is #1 in the country, and its legit probably the best in the country, not something like padded stats.
Someone called the defense average, which id say is accurate, although they've played significantly below average at times too.
I honestly do think Tennessee is a little overrated right now. I think they are a good team with potential to very good. But they had so much preseason hype like "Tennessee could be a surprise team" that they went from unranked, to top 10 with 3 not super impressive wins.
Dont get me wrong, they have good wins, but not unranked to top 10 in 3 weeks type of wins.
Pitt lost their starting qb early in the game and i believe were missing another key player before the game started (i could be mistaken there) but then their backup qb came in, got hurt, was hobbling so bad it looked like he should've came out. That went to OT.

Florida was coming off being absolutely handled by Kentucky, then was two USF self inflicted mistakes from should have lost that game too. Realistically probably should not have been ranked for the Tennessee game to start with.

So i think Tennessee is a good team, having solid wins that have been overblown probably making them seem better than they might be. I say that because #1 offense but defense isnt even in the top 50. Seems like a recipe other teams have had in the past and without balance, didnt work out so great.

Don’t knit but Tennessee offense isn’t Miss St. They do run the ball much more than they pass. Their QB can hurt you running where States can’t.

Their defense is pretty good on the run but not very good on pass.

The QB is really, really good

Watching the UF game, it seems we can take advantage of their secondary

Time will tell if they are that good; the same is true for us.

Can we just focus on Auburn? If we lose to Auburn every thread on here will be about how we are going to get boat raced by Tennessee.

My only concern is… Who’s secondary have we taken advantage of this year? The teams we’ve beaten was by way of the run whether it be from JD5 scrambling or the backs.

Idk. There are 0 teams I’m sure about this year.

Georgia's good

Right now, there's a few tiers-
1- UGA, Alabama (until proven otherwise), probably Ohio State and maybe Clemson (maybe).
2- most of the rest of the P5 teams (and maybe a couple G5 in this group), ranging from maybe Penn State at or near the top, to maybe Auburn at the bottom.
3- the bottom of the P5, and most of the G5... and likely a couple of elite FCS teams.

Teams within tiers can play each other and you really aren't sure who wins, or if the winner is actually better.

Teams playing across tiers, the higher group team will have to have a bad game, and the lower tier team a good one, for a close game.

LSU is 1-1 against Tier 2, 1-0 against Tier 3, and then 1-0 against Southern (who really doesn't have a prayer against any of these tiers).
We looked to improve a good bit from Fla State to Miss State, and I'm not sure who would win between those two.
We looked really solid (played with interest) against New Mexico (tier 3), outcome was predetermined but the execution looked good.

But still, we were in a dogfight at home awhile against Miss State, a team on the edge of being ranked.

I think the next two games will tell us where LSU is this year... road game against what we call a bad Auburn team (still 3-1), then an early home game against a ranked Tennessee team. We split those, I think we're looking at 7-5. Win them both, probably 8-4 or 9-3. Lose both, and 6-6 will be an accomplishment.

Daniels can’t make a lot of the throws Richardson made vs Tennessee. He was making 15-20+ yard throws under pressure, off platform and into tight windows. He maybe inconsistent but you won’t see many QBs make throws like that in college this season.
