Sorry we didn't get to meet up. I was busy the entire time I was there seeing friends that live in Atlanta as well as other California LSU Tigers that made the trip.

I just about threw guests out of my house during the game...they were actually happier when things when to sh*# I think...Everyone has really lost their mind about LSU football...we win 9 games and everyone is miserable....we're about to get exactly what we deserve...we're going to lose Miles and hire another Hallman....OR...we'll spend 10mm paying him off and another 20mm hiring another coach everyone will love for a year or 2, then buy him out...
ESPN did this to college football...

The guys that make the decisions at LSU do not get on a forum and rag their University, most of them serve for the love of LSU.
They really do not spend their down time on this or other boards. They can make their opinion known where it counts...not on some board.

Not completely accurate. As was stated before, this is mostly full of fanatics on both sides. I literrally know nobody who defends Miles like he gets defended on this board. At the same time, I only know a few people that want to fire him right now. I think the vast majority of the fanbase like 60% or so could give a shite if he decides to leave tomorrow though.

This board is a good representation of the most VOCAL of the fan base but I don't believe it is a representation of the fan base in general. More like the vocal minority.

Hold one spot on that hand for me if we ever meet irl. I like the guy, think he represents our program really well in many aspects, especially in recruits' living rooms, and frankly at this point, after the Dark Years, is much better than the devil I don't know (his unknown replacement). Although Al Gore hadn't yet invented the Internet, the final years of Charlie Mac would have sounded like this-I always thought Mac was a top flight OC from having us in the hunt every year, even with the Bear, and I think the same about LM, even with $atin in our division. And I think he wanted to replace Crowton, but the $$$ weren't there. Might someone be better? Possible. But for every Arnsparger there is an Archer or a Hallman out there fooling those that hire our coaches, then what?

I like miles as well. I know I'm in the minority but I'm optimistic. I love my school too much to throw people under the bus like so many here have done.

i like the man as a man and as a mentor and as a recruiter; i just wish to God he could find an x's and o's guy to help with game day.

Well, this is just not the case. I know absolutely no one that supports Miles. And we're not talking about young uneducated kids here.
The comment about being wanted elsewhere is the best analogy I have heard yet. See if you can get someone from another school to say that if they were in a coaching search that they would want Miles. And he is VERY well paid.

I agree. I think we take for granted how good of a guy he is. I am also optimistic we'll recognize what changes need to be made after analyzing Saturday's game and we'll improve as a result.
