It's the same SEC schedule that they play year in year out. Some schools may have a down year and some good but there aren't many gimmies in the SEC.
The SEC was wayyyy down this year. There was:
Bama
UGA
Auburn
Everyone else.

I heard State was pretty good last year. And our OOC games were no push over. Troy was a big match up.

As I said, he's now going to run an offense that he has never run and has to first learn before he can teach it. I'm all for being positive and thinking he can do it. But, it's still a question mark
Obviously you know something I don't. Are you saying that they handed him a playbook and said learn it or is he taking from his years of experience and adding new wrinkles or just what are you saying? It sounds like you think it's totally foreign to him. I promise you that he understands and knows how everything works. You're creating a problem out of thin air.

To my knowledge, he's never run RPO's or a spread system.

How do you know this?

Why because you guys are so scared of competing with them. I for one think when we right this ship they won't want anything to do with us like back in the early 2000s.

I know it don't mean anything but I think we beat Auburn

At Auburn is always tough. If we beat them, look out!!

It means something to me bro. I love the optimism. I just can't change the way I look at things. I've always been a realist. Maybe I should've been born in Missourri, because I gotta see it to believe it.

Totally understood. I , myself just try to be positive and let things follow its course. I do like all the big uglies we added this off season though. Reminds me of 2011 when we dominated the line of scrimage

Steve Ensminger has 13 years in at OC. Several years as passing game coordinator. He's been coaching since the 80s. He's been offered the LSU job before by more than one coach
As is referenced in the above tweet, Miles said he offered the offensive coordinator job to Ensminger leading into the 2011 season.
Steve was O's original pick for the job but he said no.
The fears that Steve somehow isn't qualified or can't install an offense are not just unfounded they're comical.

Is this true?

That Miles or Orgeron offered the OC job to Ensminger is not the highest recommendation. Neither are considered offensive geniuses ...

How many offenses has he designed and coordinated in the last 20 years?
Follow up - How much do you believe offenses have changed in college in the last 20 years?
From my understanding, they are going around to different schools and pro teams to learn new concepts to implement into this upcoming offense. So, he really is kind of learning on the fly so to speak. Does that mean he can't be wildly successful? Of course not. Does he have a good mind for offense? Obviously.
But, how good are you at new things and/or things you haven't done in many years?
The bottom line as I said many times already is that IMO it is more of a question mark than a positive accomplishment.

I’m wouldn’t consider myself a hater but definitely a non-believer when it comes to O... I would be extremely excited if he could go 10-2 or better in the regular season, I just don’t think he can. But if he did go -0-2 or better then I would be the first to say I was wrong, but what about you? Would you be willing to do the same if he starts going 8-4 or worse?

OP waiting on O to prove the haters wrong

Posted on 6/16/18 at 11:03 am to eyeofthetiger3
Wtf? You are saying we don't like him because he isn't white? His supporters literally cite his identity and Cajun heritage as a bonus. They are the only ones taking that bullshite into account...

CherriOs are the worst group of people in the entire planet. They just say crap about Orgeron to try and support him without posting facts, the anti-O people will post facts back about their skepticism of him, and the CherriOs throw a temper tantrum and go to name calling. It's like clockwork. They are just a group of idiots who want Orgeron because "he's one of us, talks like us, and makes a mean gumbo", even though no one in the country wanted him, including Syracuse who frickin laughed at him for wanting to ask them for an interview.
