Example? How about 60% of his plays? The guy doesn't go through his progressions well, doesn't look off many defenders, and doesn't appear to make his checks too well.

I question how big of a "student of the game" that he is.

You question if he is a student of the game. Are you retarded?

How does one complete 68% of his passes in his final season of college without studying the game. Talk all you want about nonsense, but JR was the smartest QB in college football his final year at LSU. The stats prove that.

He is going through some rookie struggles. Guess what, pretty much EVERY great QB did the same thing.

And he has NOTHING to work with in terms of WRs, and he is in the worst organization in pro sports.

What the frick do you guys expect from him.

John Elways 1st year in teh NFL he completed 47% of his passes with 7 TDs and 14 INTs.

Steve Young- 53%, 8 Tds, 13 INTs.

Aikman- 53% 9 TDs, 18 INTs

The man has started 6 games, give him a break. And don't give me the "you can tell he just doesn't have IT" What is it? Did those QBs above have "it" when they were throwing twice as many INTs as TDs????

Is there just a really big learning curve in catching his passes? Bowe, Davis and Doucet, 3 NFL receivers, couldn't catch them either early on, correct?

No it has more to do with Javon Walker and Ronald Curry being garbage than anything else.

Promoting a friend's record label WTF???

Saints CB's dropped 5.

Here is Peter King's take:

At some point, JaMarcus Russell has to go from young quarterback making his way in this league to an efficient NFL quarterback. He played an "F'' game at New Orleans, and I'd grade him lower if I could. His judgment on medium and deep throws are as bad as his accuracy. His tools are tremendous, obviously, but the disconnect between his ability and actual play is too much. In his last four games, he's completed 35, 47, 60 and 37 percent of his throws, which might be good enough when all of your players are better than the other team's, but doesn't give your team much of a prayer in the National Football League.

LSU Tigahs 28...Good to see you fighting the fight again today. You should be commended on you loyalty.

Matt Flynn was a better QB period.

Too bad they don't give out commendations for generalizations made after watching very little or else you would be one of the most decorated posters on the Rant.

- a bust as some here, including myself, predicted.

You can talk all day long about "his receivers" - the guy was 13 of 35 - nothing more need be said.

Now you see, I was trying to be nice today.

BTW: I have the Direct TV package, and have watched all of his games this year. He has been carefull with the ball. Kiffen basically had a rope tied around him. But, he has a lot more bad plays than good ones.

Again, I am not saying he is a bust. It can and probably will be turned around. Manning and Aikman....awfull..their 1st years starting. Right NOW, B A D

Matt Flynn was a better QB period pal - and clearly - you don't have a clue. You are just one of those who think its great that he can throw 60 yards from his knees - big deal - and a NFL skill seldom needed.

What made MF a better QB? Was it his higher completion percentage? or his fewer picks?

And you counted drops did you - I mean you tivoed the game and counted the drops. How many wild arse throws did he complete that the receiver bailed him out on - did you count those too?

He's a bust - wish he wasn't. The notion that to criticize him, ostensibly because he is black is rascist overture, is absurd and stupid. Its the same pathetic reason you can't criticize O'Bama. Get some thick skin because both you and JR are going to need it.

Maybe one

Not at all. One of the smartest QBs at keeping the D from getting picks in the league. He has no weapons and no line to protect him.

The Matt flynn question please what made him a better QB?
