DS didn’t have any film on him before waddle got hurt. So it wouldn’t have made sense for him to quit. Waddle gets hurt and he improved his stick by 100 fold.

Smith didn't need waddle getting hurt to prove he was the best WR playing this year. The guy has been unstoppable, like it or not

Smith will be one of first 3 players selected. Chase, middle first round.

What does it matter?

Trubisky was drafted BEFORE Mahomes

Smith isn’t even the best WR at Bama.

They both played last year. Chase was the best wr in the nation and Smith felt he had to return to school. Smith could break Chase’s record for yardage, but the difference is Chase had two other WRs with 1000 yards and It’s only Smith this year. Chase had 6 more yards per catch than Smith’s current season also.

Chase will end up being the best WR out of this class, no matter how many of you crybabies hope he fails.

Some truth in that statement.

Chase is a big time talent, but I hope him sitting out hurts his draft stock because I don’t want this “opting out” thing to be a post-COVID trend.

The best preparation for playing football is playing football. When Chase suits up for his next game it will have been almost a year and a half since his last game. And that was his choice.

Chase is also a champion. Stop acting like a scorned girlfriend. He made a business decision for him and his family.

I honestly don’t think Smith will be faster than Chase at the combine.

If you truly believe that, you obviously don’t know much about football.

This thing where people bully those who value the program over the individuals is weird. I’m an LSU fan.

Burn your 2019 championship gear and put on a red shirt you frick.

Smith is a fricking Bama Groupie, who needed 2x as many years to work his way into the first round.

Smith needed 4 years and no other receiving options to put up Chase Sophmore numbers.

Chase will be better in the NFL. His physicality is the difference.

I love Chase, and honestly think he’s the best prospect in the draft. Especially considering his work ethic, I think his workouts will be impressive.
But actions have consequences, and he left the door open to possibly drop in the draft when he opted out.....I personally hope it’s not the case because he was a great Tiger and gave me memories that will last a lifetime.
BUT I will not feel sorry for him if Devonta is the first WR off the board....Devonta earned the opportunity

Do you think Chase would have better numbers than Smith if he came back?

I’m a bitter fan and wish chase stayed so I hope he doesn’t get drafted in the first round to make myself feel better about it. I’ll get over it pretty quickly and still root for him In The league.

But I don’t expect anyone to feel the way I do.

Not worried about stats. Both are elite players, the workouts and interviews will determine who is first....also the type of system possibly.
I’m not predicting stats, Jonathan Giles had great stats before he came to LSU. Scouts use the eye test
