James Gill is like the local print version of Max Kellerman or one of the other hot take personalities on espn. He literally is just in it to have a hot take to get responses like yours.

As always with Ideologically- possessed AgitProp- you have an existing narrative in search of a set of facts that can be shaped to conform with the narrative. All American Institutions are playgrounds for people who think this way, not just your local newspaper or tv station. So we get the same warmed over , ideologically possessed narratives that promote a certain viewpoint about American life but which have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the truth of a particular matter.
In 1985/1986 my LSU fraternity brother, Chuck Kelly from Morgan City put a shotgun to his head and committed suicide in Tiger Plaza. Obviously we were saddened and shocked and asking ourselves questions about why he might have done that. A few weeks later The Advocate ran an above the fold Sunday edition front page story that ran two and one half pages on how the social pressure of being in a fraternity made him do it. It was shameful , had no basis in reality and was wholly false, but it was a narrative that pleased the writer of the piece. Fraternities Bad.
Since then , my experience is this is the case more often than not. Now it’s Orange Man Bad and a thousand other things. We all instinctively recognize narratives now and we accept the premise that ideologically possessed people have no interest in objective truth. But our Institutions are still their playgrounds because their bosses think the same way and this is the reality of the culture of these Institutions. The narrative advances and The Truth gets left behind.
