Most coaches would have processed him long before 2011.

Let's just reflect a few moments on where our '10 and '11 seasons would be without Jarrett Lee. To my knowledge, JL has been nothing but class.

He also mentioned in one of his earlier interviews how we would need to develop a 3rd receiver (and that we would). He's spot on.

Lee holds no grudge against Les or LSU because he knows what was up with his benching. I for one was very upset at JJ getting all the playing time late in the year after the bama game, but there was a reason for it other than "JJ was better" which anyone knows that to be false. Lee is a class act, always has been. I'm really glad to see he is still active and interested in the program. Good for him and also good for LSU.

Jarrett seems to be a classy guy. Good luck to him moving forward.

Wanna spill the beans or is this just speculation?

Not a fan of Lee - I hated the Jefferson/Lee period of LSU football history - made it feel like we were living in the 1960's or something.

IMO, this is more of a reflection on you than on Jarrett Lee.

- JL committed to LSU while Jimbo was still OC. Jimbo bolts. JL honors his commitment to LSU.
- Forced into starting role too early (due to RP's dismissal and Hatch's injury) and was as scorned by Tiger fans as any player in our history (IMO). But chose to stay on.
- Lost his starting job when he could have easily transferred out, but chose to honor his commitment to LSU.
- Our '10 and '11 seasons would have been vastly different had he left.

Even if you can't get over that period, not sure how you can't have an appreciation for JL.

Trivia bit: JJ is the only QB in our history to start 4 bowl games. JL (I think I'm right on this) never played a down in bowl games.

A friend talked to a former player who said it was academic related and that's all he got. If it were because of Miles' just wanting to play JJ or was something else do you think Jarrett would still be associated so much with the program and such a "sunshine pumper"? I don't. It 'appears' that Jarrett is comfortable with himself and still loves LSU to this day. I for one put him as one of my favorite Tigers, and I've been around a long time.

Well if it's something so benign then why wouldn't Les or someone just come out and say it?

The truth is I have no idea. I thought Les said something along those lines around the SECCG but not sure. But I could be dreaming as well.

Les also said there were no academic casualties.

Meh, team sweep members made it that way.

A man couldn't root for lee over Jefferson without getting contacted by ACLU and NAACP.

That situation was extremely personal. Les never talks about that stuff.

After 2009 demoralizing and controversial loss to Ole Miss (Spike Game) LSU came back and won a hard fought and mentally tough OT against Arky at home. Expect LSU to not only bounce back but could very well upset all of College Football on Nov 9.
