I agree. I always hate to see a tiger do bad but he has had his chances and he has never fully taken the reigns.

Hasnt had a fair chance in 4 yrs?

YES...we had 2 QBs who struggled within the system...neither offered a legit passing attack...BUT JJ at least forced the D to defend the run. With JL there was no real running threat

really funny people act like he's gonna transfer just because he's not gonna start. richard murphy was a 5th year this year and never once got to be "the" guy and got passed up by two freshmen this year, but you didn't see him bitching and asking to transfer. maybe lee likes it at lsu and his team mates. there's more to life than being the starting quarterback.

His gf is at the LSU Law School. Maybe true love will keep him at LSU.

Why? He will take over the no.1 spot next season.

has he earned a starting spot?
may be a nice guy, but nice doesn't win football games

He's not going to transfer! He has <1 year of school to get his degree. He knows he won't play at the next level!
Move on. Damn. If he was going to transfer, he would've done it by now.

We don't win close to 11 games without him this last season. Great Tiger.. he gave it his all.

Funny you should say that, I remember Sol Graves at one time saying in effect that he would rather sit on the bench at LSU rather than being the starting QB somewheres else. I always admired him for saying that and concluded that he was a true Tiger.

Wasn't the offensive production pretty good in '08 despite the pick 6's? He can't help it if his offensive teammates can't tackle. The defense was a fricking train wreck that year with the two headed "D" coordinators.

To be honest, Murphy made a lot of plays this year. Most of them were blocking and fakes but he did a terrific job in either regard. Lee is a solid QB at this point and should easily be the backup for JJ. I am pupmed about the potential of Mettenberger but Lee is our #2 and will see significant playing time in 2011. If only Lee had Jimbo as a QB coach... I love J Lee...even if he never starts another game for LSU

Lee deserved a couple series in the second half when the game was won. Without his play in spots this year, LSU would not be an 11 win team.
Putting him to kneel down was rubbing salt in the wound IMO. This kid has been shat upon repeatedly, and yet, still conducts himself with class. He might have been up and down on the field, but he certainly appears to have the leadership skills one wants from that position.

Every team needs a back up quarterback. Too bad only idiot LSU fans always think that ours should always transfer to what they think are greener pastures.
