Sooooo not ready.... MUST come back. Here is Javon's problem....
He is a solid, combo gaurd but not great at the two main attributes of a combo. Ball handling/Ability to run an offense AND consistent shooting prowess to hit neccessary critical jumpshots, irrespective of capabilities of defender

Emmitt made a huge mistake. There will be no over seas leagues this year and he will not get drafted

I’m so done with people issuing statements when they ‘return to school’ or ‘enter the draft’ when they are not being talked about as being first round picks by anyone.
It’s typical of the modern ‘Instagram’ culture, but frick it. It’s egotistical and idiotic.

With the G League I don't think that statement is relevant or applies anymore. If you are not ready for the NBA, the G-League prepares you better than college does, it's just a fact.
Now if you like playing with your boys, like playing college ball and think you'll like it better than playing in the G-League, then staying is the right choice. Most of these kids just don't like school.

Smart will be back. He’s got that Will Wade income which has to pay more than an undrafted guy in the G League
If he were serious about leaving he’d hire an agent

After hearing WW on Mascona's show a couple of weeks back, I agree.
I was really just speaking in general, the old standby he needs to stay and develop his game really does not apply anymore given the growth of the G-League. G League develops players better for the NBA - and it's not even debatable.

Well yeah, but life in the G league probably sucks compared to being a standout athlete on a big college team

You nailed it, and virtually all these guys that declare and come back (no matter the school), get paid under the table. That's what makes the pay the poor athletes arguement ridiculous. The guys that produce get paid for their performance now. The 10th guy on scholarship and the 3rd string linebacker don't.

I would imagine the crowds are similar in excitement and size to that in the PMAC non-Kentucky home games.

If and when those leagues he resume he could catch on and make decent $$ somewhere overseas.
