After this season and him seeing the pitching weaknesses I have no doubt he is going to be working the transfer portal heavily to find some solid arms.Couple stud freshmen and some portal players and we could build a staff for next year. Also with the way our offense slugged this year we will probably be a destination for some position players too.Hope we get some guys with some speed we could use some of it

wonder if NIL can get one or two here that might otherwise have gone pro. It can’t hurt our chances.

You’d better have NIL figured out. These draft eligible pitchers have millions on the line.

A few have millions on the line. Not sure exactly how much you think second and third round draft picks get signed for.

Imagine where this team would be this year if we had Coleman. He’s a huge piece

One more thing. Thank GOD McManus came because without him this team would have been sitting home.

People shite on him but there was no denying that guy was huge in winning games.

I was extremely pleased with the way McManus progressed on the year. At the end of the year, he was a productive hitter and his defense was just fine.

Then he regressed in the Regional. He had a really bad regional on both sides. 2 past balls that allowed runs to score.....

Does McManus have an extra year? Thought he was a “grad student.”

Also, buddy those “past balls” were cross ups. In case you couldn’t tell the difference, thats when the pitcher throws the wrong pitch and he was expecting the opposite. He didn’t swing it his best, but he still had a couple key hits and a homer.

McManus is a grad student I believe he is gone. We have 2 5 star catchers and Milazzo coming back though. If Romero makes it to campus I don’t think Thompson sees the field and may transfer. Curious to see if we put dugas back in the outfield or if we DH him and give digiacomo a shot. Crews and Pearson should have center and right locked down

If Romero makes it to campus, one of him or Thompson plays second base. Simple.

Do not expect McManus back.

Doughty is an interesting one his stock has dropped and with his shoulder being a constant issue it may impact his draft and he could potentially come back next season as well.

Gone:
Bianco
Berry
McManus
Gio

Potentially Gone:
Cranford - Transfer
Safford - Transfer
Doughty - Draft

I mean they clearly have work to do. But I will say getting Coleman back, having a full offseason to develop Floyd, Taylor, and Dutton is also promising. But they do need to either hit the portal for 1 or 2 starters or just pray that the incoming Freshmen will have the ability to start along with the development of Floyd, Taylor, and Dutton.
