I know there was a brief streak midseason but
That streak shouldn’t be so quickly dismissed.
My question has always been why can’t we expect him to have another streak like that? Maybe even a longer one?
ETA:
Anyone ever wanna answer this?

Non-expert opinion: because starting with Arkansas, it was shown that a particular style of passing defense works really well on Daniels and so far we don’t have an answer for it.
But I’m more worried about our defense for next year.

That's not what I said at all.

a run first QB will never win a national title at LSU

JD can become a more confident passer with more time with the new staff and WRs.
Nuss is a playmaker and will cut down on mistakes significantly with more time with the 1's.
well ..... this is the whole problem in a nutshell, isn't it? What's a coach to do here?
you have 2 QB's, and a limited amount of time to get a QB the practice time needed to improve.
The options are:
1 -- commit to JD hoping he improves
2 -- commit to Nuss, hoping he improves
3 -- split the difference, practice BOTH, knowing that both will split practice time and not improve as much as if they'd gotten all/almost all practice rep's.
so .... which of the 3 options are you proposing?

Too little too late. Should have been better against a shitty ATM.

Everything got dismissed when we lost to A&M. That was inexcusable.

TWO dropped passes cost us a TD and a key 1st down on the other side of midfield in the 1st quarter. Those were not JD's fault. Our DEF, and lack of DEF adjustments by the staff & players, were atrocious vs TAM and cost us that game.
Exactly. And lets not forget, aTm highest point production all year was against LSU. That wasn't on JD.

We didn’t score a TD in the first half vs. FSU.
JD took us inside the 10 twice out of 3 drives. And someone else fricked up.

Against a Big 10 defense that has lost their head coach and had several leaders opt out of the bowl game. Yeah I’d say he better ball out.
