Actions speak louder than words. I'll have to see it before I believe it. Talk is cheap.

Being accurate throwing the ball down field, is what I want to see. Knowing that he has more than one receiver out on every play would help. But on his behalf, he is only going to get better with more time and reps. Jarret Lee is the number one back up right now because of game experience. It is a shame that he got thrown under the bus because plays were being called before he was comfortable to make. He has a stronger arm than Jefferson and is more accurate with the long ball.

Being able to make quicker reads and picking up blitzes would serve a better purpose than getting in someones face. He needs to lead by example and do his job and others will follow. Leaders lead by example.

I have heard this kind of stuff the past two years during the offseason. I'll believe it when I see it.

I think JJ has all of the tools to be one of the best QBs in the nation, he just needs some confidence.

I'm happy to hear that he is stepping up as a team leader!

Before he gets too worried about stepping in anyone’s face, he better make sure he steps up himself. Hard to step in someone else’s face if you aren’t doing your own job. Also I hope he realizes being a leader means when the game is on the line, you “want” the ball in your hands, instead of pushing the coach to hand the ball off.

the QB should be getting the WR out of bed, not the other way around.

I’ll pull him out of bed early to get started,” Shepard said.

Can't believe our fans keep falling for this crap every season. They take player quotes and coaches press conferences blowing smoke to make them believe we are going to be undefeated and we have a BEAST at every position. Ridiculous. Remember the hype over Richard Murhphy after the Spring game and a few scrimmages? Hogwash.

I'm not saying we won't be great next season, I hope we are and I hope we win every game and I hope if we do Miles is here for a long time. However, they need to proove it on the field against quality competition. We were a couple of plays away last year from losing 6 games.

Not really, it's about giving your team the best chance to win. Sometimes that might be with the ball in JJ's hands and sometimes that might be with the ball in someone elses hands.
