What will be the battle cry of you homers when the great white hope known as Jarrett Lee comes in the game and stinks it up like he did in 08? You will be stuck whining about JJ's lackluster performance again. I think Miles is hedging his bets until one player steps up and takes the position.

Miles the frickING IDIOT - WHY LEE IN THE GAME AFTER THAT '08 bullshite!!!

Not worried at all. JJ will go in the with the ground game to get the o-line going by pounding the defensive line. Then J. Lee will come in when we begin to open things up. This game is on the road against a pretty good secondary, so I'm not surprised we want to come in with a run mentality early. Lee will still play the majority of the snaps.

This.

I dont get all of the hysteria about JJ starting. We know he is going to play both Qb's. I think some folks are just glad that they have something to harp on him about.

Lee can hand the ball off to Ridley just fine

But Lee isnt a threat to run. JJ is. It brings something else to the field that the gators have to be aware of.

With all the the points Lee scored for the other teams in 08, he is still a better QB than JJ is. If JJ could get his confidence up he would probably be a little better, but he just cannot thrive in GC's offensive schemes.

This is a COMPLETELY RETARDED line of thinking.

JJ = basically no threat of a pass.

So, let's see.

JL = LSU might run OR pass EFFECTIVELY.

JJ = might run.....can't pass a lick.

Precisely how is the latter MORE confusing to a defense??

O RLY?

What are JJ's running stats if you remove the one play against UT?

It's not a bad idea to name JJ the starter

Perhaps not, but it is a TERRIBLE idea to play him at all. Why is it so hard for Miles to see that there are other better options for the "running QB"

Surprised Admiral Ackbar hasn't made an appearance in this thread. But I'm at work and can't see pics.

This is no surprise to me.

Here is the reason. He wants to maintain JJ's fragile ego. I don't mind if he gets the first snap, but after that, JL better take over on 70% of the snaps.

Because it is easy before it happens to sit back and laugh that Miles is stupid enough tp do this.

But for some reason (even though I know its coming) I am still dumbfounded when he does things like this.

It has really become unbelievable how stupid he is.

And here is JJ's rushing threat.

Jo. Jefferson QB 47-189/2

Now, if you take that 83 yarder away? What is it then?

46 - 106 yards and 1 TD. WATCH OUT FOR THE JJ EXPRESS!

Breaking news *** Les Miles just stated that he hears the fans about their displeasure on JJ possibly starting this weekend. He said that assertion is incorrect and that T.C. McCartney will be starting on Saturday.

Also, when you put JL in, PLEASE have balance. Last week, they put in JL and it was pass, pass, pass. It's like, "okay, we want to run? Put in JJ". shite, JJ didn't move the ball and now we have to throw, put in Lee".

I just don't get the concern. Miles just said on his Wed teleconference with Meyer that both QB's will play, and both QB's present both running and passing threats. Meyer said preparing for a 2 QB team makes then tougher to prepare for because practice time is limited.

See, Les really is a genius.

As the QB responsible for signaling in plays at least he won't have his head up his arse figuring out what play to call if he's on the field with no timeouts at the Fla 1 yard line??

If I was Urban I would say this. If you take away JJ's long run against UT, he barely averages over 2 yards a run. So, he can't run or pass, I'd say whatever I needed to say to get JJ to play snaps for LSU.
