Les worries what the other team is doing way too much.

Jefferson to start vs. Florida...
mother of god...if I were lee i would beat the frick out miles with my helmet...That fricker saved the day last week and thats how you repay the kid...

And here is JJ's rushing threat.
Jo. Jefferson QB 47-189/2
Now, if you take that 83 yarder away? What is it then?
46 - 106 yards and 1 TD. WATCH OUT FOR THE JJ EXPRESS!
JJ is no threat to run...

Starting JJ will give LSU more plays to practice the short side option.

But we are faced with the spread option offense that 1. we dont have a QB for ( thats y i think JJ is more suitable for it than JL)
You do realize that Miles/Crowton do not HAVE to run that offense. They could call plays to the strength of the team rather than forcing square pegs into round holes.
with our personnel, we should be running essentially a mirror of Bama's offense.

Subtlety, but I get your point. It is the tip if the team's psychological iceberg into which our ever alert STAFF will crash the remainder of the season with Mr. Jefferson at the helm.

With all the the points Lee scored for the other teams in 08, he is still a better QB than JJ is. If JJ could get his confidence up he would probably be a little better, but he just cannot thrive in GC's offensive schemes.
What a shitty fan you are.

Miles is trying to get fired and have a buyout
Starting to entertain this idea as a real possibility.
Les Miles is the worst coach in the SEC. Time to start considering that he may not be the upstanding man of integrity all of you dumbass Miles Apologists once thought he was.

the only reason i can think of wanting to start him is to keep the ball on the ground at the beginning of the game
WTF kind of logic is that. We have the SEC's LEADING RUSHER!!!!!!!!
Why the hell can't JL turn and hand off to him.
MADNESS I tell you.

wow, what a fun thread to read, a lot of hate on here these days. who cares who the starter is? we know both qbs are going to play and chances are BOTH are gonna make some dumbass decisions. some of yall act that this is such a cut and dry case. yes jl played much better last week than jj has all season, BUT he still made the same mistakes he did in 2008. also we have no idea what happens in practice.
in summary, both of our qbs suck and both are gonna play, so deal with it.

So you hope JJ will improve...but fear JL is no better than 2 years ago.
Yeah, real fair and unbiased.

Three comments:
1. Had Tennessee not had 13 players on the field and that game ended in the utter chaos and loss that we all thought it had (remember the sound of the crowd and the looks on the players' faces before the penalty reversed our fortunes?), would Miles have made this same decision, since it would have appeared that JJ snatched defeat from JL's jaws of victory?
2. This decision is 100% Miles, not Crowton.
3. I have no doubts whatsoever that the purpose in replacing Lee with JJ in the final 30-odd seconds was to insure that JJ was on the field for the winning score (1st call was to have JJ run it in himself, giving him both LSU td's), thus vaildating, in Miles' mind, that JJ is the permanent starting QB.
