Tennessee '10 is the clear Booty-Davey moment that should have signified at least one start, one full game for Lee, just like Tennessee '00 was the game that changed it all for the Saban era. Booty clled his own play at the end of the UAB game and rented a room in the Saban doghouse. Davey stepped up and won the UT game. Davey was the man from that point on.
Lee stepped up and won the game. He made crucial passes, he moved the chains...he looked like an SEC QB coming of age.
Why Miles?

Good move, as long as he isn't throwing the ball and Lee gets in the next series. Lee does better off the bench.

Yeah, that's kinds what I get from some of these "fans" opinions. One QB has no hope, the other ....no matter how bad he has been is serviceable.
This is going both ways.

I don't know what kind of favors JJ is doing for Miles. How in the hell is he keeping the qb job. He is a junior sec qb at an elite school. I'm sorry but passing for over 100 yards once in 5 games is not going to cut it. This is just Miles being stubborn. If you want a running and pass qb combo use shep and lee not JJ.

And here is JJ's rushing threat.
Jo. Jefferson QB 47-189/2
Now, if you take that 83 yarder away? What is it then?
46 - 106 yards and 1 TD. WATCH OUT FOR THE JJ EXPRESS!
The defense has to respect a QB who runs the option whether they think he's a threat or not. The purpose of the option is to slow down the pass rush. It also affects the run defense because the DEs have to check the QB before attacking the running plays (slows them down). You put a pocket passer in and they can pass rush more effectively a key on the running back alone. You don't want this happening early in the game while the defense is fresh and getting hits on your pocket passer.
To me it's OK, as long as J. Lee plays the majority of the snaps as the game goes on.

What you're not realizing is that JL doesn't have the stamina yet to play the whole game. He has to work up to it.
JJ gets a few snaps so JL doesn't run out of steam.
That's my theory. Nothing else makes sense.

Predictable. Keep your pants on. JL will get over 60% of the snaps and all the critical ones. That is pretty predictable too. I just wish he would go 90% JL, 10% Shep, but that just isn't going to happen. We would have a chance then.
When UF starts putting 8 in the box consistently, we will insert JL. I think everybody learned their lesson from the late game substitutions last week. The chances are this one won't be close late in the game anyway.

A US commander can be releived of duties when his mental capacities are questionable. Is this the time Les Miles should be releived of duty?

Anyone who thought otherwise must not have been paying attention for the past two years.
Miles is nothing if not stubborn.

JJ will start, but if Les has any semblance of a brain cell left he will give Lee the majority of the snaps. Saw this coming a mile away. It's gonna take a knock-out blow to Jefferson for Miles to keep him off the field.
