Duh? Do the math. 3 on bubble screens, 2 reverses, figure in 7 completions and/or drops (still touches with J.J.), 5 wildcat snaps, 7 touches holding on extra points, 2 on field goals.

Get the man his 25 touches. ... If he snaps on punts, too.....fine.

As Ace posted me on a topic of Curley v. Archer...

I'm not singling you out b/c a lot of people express the same opinion.

But, 1) there are many reasons why LSU fans needed to see the back up to Hatch and Lee as soon as possible this year - I won't beat that dead horse; 2) Yes, in an irrational fan fervor, a lot of people think R.S. is the answer... he's not, although he looks great going in;

We need them all... think of Herb Tyler.

Lee will be in the mix too, let's think about that for a minute, how many balls does this guy think they have to spread around.

I think the Tim Tebow/Leake situation 2 years ago may be repeated with JJ/Shepard.

Most likely scenario... irony is Leake was small by traditional stds., trained/skilled as an immobile drop back passer; Tebow was a bull runner who learned to throw as he went;

quote:

I feel strongly that JL has seen the end of being under center at LSU. Remember how Miles deals with RB's fumbling??? Not kindly.

Good point, but only as a frontrunner.

quote:

He had no choice but to keep JL in there until the bad ankle injury and he was forced to use JJ.

This is where the frustration lies, n/p/i. We shouldn't have been in that situation.

quote:

The memory of thr pix-6s will keep JL off the field unless Miles' hand is forced to play him. RS will be #2. Wait and see.

Perhaps. Coaches have a different memory than us. It should be an open competition, with more options this year.

quote:

Also JL lack of ability to run will be a big issue.

Yes, if he doesn't develop into the drop back passer that he has been framed for...

Good Post, Natchez.

We need him to be, no doubt. I was jesting w/ regard to the R.S. commentary... but there is nothing wrong and everything right with competition at the QB position and challenging our coaches to make sure we don't repeat ourselves.

I think we saw what jefferson can do with some concentrated coaching and letting him go out and make plays.

that underhand pitch to scott was a ugly thing of beauty
