I get it. IMO, we still want them to beat Louisville. But, then you want them to lose to Auburn and Miss St.

Eta: And us of course!

To me, rooting for Louisville against Bama is like rooting for NSU against A&M.. if Bama loses, I'll laugh, if not, it's expected. I don't "root" in that case.

I think Mond looks much better, I know its NWSU but mechanics definitely are improved greatly.

Only concerns I see with them are the O line missed assignments and the DB's have given the WR's too much cushion at times

Its too early to get a read on a lot of teams week one. Everyone over reacts week one

But A&M looks solid besides that slow start early IMO

Better than losing to Troy, I guess.

I’ve watched the whole game so far. I don’t know how you can conclude they look good from this game.

How does a team with 35 points scored and 0 given up not look good, regardless of competition.. Keep in mind, tt's the first game of the season.. Most teams aren't going to look too sharp.

What more do they need to do offensively and defensively?

I recognize the o-line has looked bad times, but they've still opened some huge holes for some long running plays.

Idk.. I am having a difficult time watching it all, because of the lack of competition.

Northwestern is bad, but they aren't THAT bad. We need A&M to beat Clemson. I must be getting older because there are clearly too many kids on this freaking board that don't understand how things used to be and how they are now with regard to perceived strength of conference.

If we go through the regular season with 0 or 1 loss we will be in the playoff. Doesn’t make a difference what else happens. But I would never pull for Bama anyway so it really doesn’t matter to me. F em all.

Did you watch LSU vs BYU last year? 28-0 and we looked like dogshit against a better team (albeit not much better).

If Ohio St hadn't gotten in over the conference champion from their conference that they lost to, I might agree with you. But, the committee has shown that they award big time wins. So, IMO we want every team to be as strong as possible on our schedule.

I'd prefer they all lose and as often as possible. The SEC is respected regardless.

Need these schools to lose, because we are now having to recruit against them more than ever.. especially considering all the coaching upgrades all around.. I use to be a huge conference homer, but truly, I no longer care about the conference. I want what's best for LSU, now and long term. The competition breading a losing culture makes things easier for us moving forward. It's hard enough having to beat some of these schools.. I prefer as few of threats as possible.

Yes.

That was 14-0 at half.

THIS IS 35-0 AT HALF..

We scored ZERO points first quarter.. They came out and scored first possession I believe.. and they scored a TD to end the half, rather than settle for a FG..

Seems that we hear this story same time every year about Aggie... Time will tell if Jimbo can make it last this year.

We scored 3 total TDs in the BYU game and a couple of fgs I believe?

They scored 5 TDs in the first half.

I just don't know what more you would want in a first half game one.. their defense is shutting them out.. I recognize this is not likely, but they are currently on pace for 10 TDs and 0 Tds given up.

They also had 2 guys ejected. They may be a little less aggressive against Clemson.

I seem to recall Sumlin whipping these kinds of teams too (and starting out the season as “world beaters” every year)...how’d that work out for him against LSU?

Well, what's best for LSU this season is for Bama to beat Louisville, Auburn to beat Washington and A&M to beat Clemson.

No. You want Bama to win every time they're playing a team that LSU doesn't play. It's best for LSU's strength of schedule if they win those games. Strength of schedule is more important than ever now that there or 4 spots in the CFP instead of 2 in the BCS.

Yeah, because if we beat em during the regular season, oh wait...they have TWICE the chance to still make the playoff.

If you seriously "want Bama to win" ANYTHING, I question your sanity. All that does is make it worse for LSU, especially in recruiting. When LSU was dominant, Bama was down. Frick Bama, frick the entire rest of the conference.

Are you people looking at the score? Or actually watching the game? NWST stepped all over their dick the whole first half. Clemson is absolutely going to skull frick Aggie next week. Their corners are terrible, and the their O line is getting pressured.

I hope Mond is the starter for the whole year...........
