Yes he is, that is what I heard also(from this thread).

I predicted him to remain the starter after the bowl game and I believe I will be right!

If jl plays qb this year, he better show more mental maturity than how he played last year, does'n matter if you are a freshmen..soph...whatever, he made mistakes that a quality qb should not make....his mental capacity left a lot of room for improvement...

I have to agree here. Honestly, I think his mistakes were in one area. Mental clarity. Probably the most essential thing for a QB. But it's a new season so we shall see.

my cousin. he's a walk on at FB/RB (lsusports.net has him listed at RB), so I have no idea how much action he's going to see in the long run, but as of now, miles has pretty much been saying he's understanding the physical aspect of the game very well and is going to keep an eye on his development as the spring continues.

If Sheppard plays the RP role, Lee would have to start because Sheppard and JJ have similar styles

that's crap. just because jj is mobile does mean they are any where near the same player. jj is still a pocket qb with a big arm.

flynn was a pretty big time mobile qb when he dualed with rp.. so i personally prefer JJ/RS as a dual over JL..

i'd like two QB's who can run.

when JL is in, people will stack the box, shutting down his RB, and force him to make quick decisions.

I agree Doc. If JL is qb and the ball goes to JJ or Shep they will expect the run, but if its JJ and shep together, the defense will have to just wait and see whos gonna score.

well, it's the perrilloux/tebow effect on a defense...

they have to prepare for both.

everyone in the stadium knows that jarrett lee is not a option runner.

crowton wasn't fooling anyone with that play.

They are going to do the same for Jefferson, too, until he proves he can beat them with his arm.

well, even if he can't beat them with his arm, he can still run.

what can JL do?

I agree. And he's going to have to. Which is why Lee needs to be ready.

this has absolutely nothing to do with my point

hot carl what are you talking about?

Did you see the peach bowl JJ is a proven
QB. He threw to 10 Dif. rec. .

JJ is our starter barring injury JL will not get on the feild.

Defenses always dominate spring games. Waaay too early to start hyping the D. I do hope you're right though.

I don't think Lee is on the Unitas list or watch. But he had some good moments, too, like the Auburn game.

With that said,I hope Jefferson has a great spring and fall camp and is the starter. But we need Lee to perform well, too. Everyone wanting him to quit and saying they'll boo if he plays needs to get their heads on straight.

What if Florida is up 21-17 in the 4th and JJ gets dinged. We're going to punt on first down ?

He had a nice game, but he's hardly proven.

I think he'll start, and he has a chance to be really good.

But injuries happen almost every year at the QB position. Jarrett Lee will almost definitely be needed to wins games for LSU this season, regardless of how awesome Jordan Jefferson may turn out to be.
