NFL first posting unofficial numbers and then official along with posting only one of the times end make it hard to track online at times, but they added a check mark to 4.5 time on the WR list for the 40 even though his profile still says unofficial.
He dropped an inch in height and 10 pounds from at least his listed numbers to open the season, so under 6ft and under 200 pounds probably needed to be sub 4.5 especially with pretty average jumps and 10 yard split (maybe below average for combine WRs).
He got faster after 10 yards and was 6th WR in 20 yard shuttle, but if he slimmed down 10 pounds he probably was expected to be a little faster and show more explosion.

Looking at the numbers, ideas of "what could've been" are floating with the two fastest times for receivers. Trey Palmer and Derius Davis. A lot of these kinds of elite speed guys have gotten out of Louisiana over the years.

Yeah he’s better than a dude who had 300 yards as a freshman.. had over 100 yards and TD vs bama as a freshman. Had 9 tds in 6 games with max johnson.

If he knew he was that slow and out of shape then he just cost himself a lot of money in the draft. He seemed like a bad apple on the team, and I am kind of glad he left, but he should have come back only to get himself in shape and grab 65+ catches and 800 yards and put himself back in the first round.

The difference is Chase still had elite physical talent
Boutte either lost it via injury or lack of work ethic. Neither of these things has anything to do with Jayden Daniels.

Little reason for the ankle injury to still be holding him back. It happened over a year and a half ago. Should have been fully healed ages ago. Only thing still holding him back is himself.
