RBs have a total of 1 fumble in their entire careers put together. BTW, Hester had 2 in his whole career. So, that doesn't explain why he played ahead of them either.
You are absolutely correct sir - the ONLY reason that pussy Hester got the starting slot was that he was white - you have been correct all along.

naw
the main reason hester has such hype on the rant and with many LSU fans is the fact that he's white
hester got the nod b/c he is the best receiver and wasn't really a good blocking FB, but did block well for a HB. he's also a good guy who teammates liked who had some leadership. he worked hard, etc
none of that means that he was the best RB on the team last year

I don't think the guy was implying race, just talent, I also thought Williams and Scott should have got more carries, but Hester is solid no denying that.

solid is a great way to describe hester
oh yeah, to add something else...i also do think miles wants big, tough guys playing and he doesn't want big plays at many times. i seriously believe this after the kentucky game

Yes he's a Poli Board Racist. His post is quite clear.

Dammit you people have got me agreeing with SFP now dammit...
+1 but I think Hester was a better pass blocker than any of the other rb's

Hester was solid. What more can be said. I believe Coach miles has been fair from all sides. A coach is a politician. I especially liked the way he handled the Russell/Flynn dilemma. He made the masses believe flynn could compete with Russell and didn't pull him in the slightest whim.

I would say the "some LSU fans" vs. many on the race factor. The real reason he's popular with many LSU fans is the same reason Dorsey, Bradie James, Early, Rohan (and on and on) are popular. Because they were great "Tigers"...they worked hard, played hard, showed lots of heart, were good leaders, etc. Most LSU fans love and remember great "Tigers", not just great football players.

naw miles did make many in the LSU fanbase believe flynn was even close to JR, which is pretty amazing
and he did refuse to pull flynn last year even when flynn was horrible (like USC, UK, first half of Arkie)

Most fans are not like you SloFlo, they value a National Championship QB more than some other hot shot QB's NFL draft status.

I can't believe that some of you defend Miles at all cost. Please, tell me how you explain these decisions by Miles:
1. Kentucky game - CScott two long TD runs in the first half. Hester gets hurt in the 1st half. After CScott's 2nd long TD run, he doesn't get to play until the last play of the last OT. Please give a worthy explanation as to why Miles would bench the player who is healthier and obviously performing better on the field for an hour and a half???
2. Auburn game - KWilliams catches a screen pass and turns it into a 30+ yard TD. He does not play the rest of the game. Please give a worthy explanation as to why Miles would bench a player who turned an ordinary play into a huge TD???
I realize that Miles has gone 3 straight years with 10+ wins. I realize that he beat Auburn, Florida, and Bama in the same season twice when Saban did it 0 times. I realize that he won a NC last year and is undefeated in bowl games with blow out wins.
Without repeating those things, explain to me why Les Miles made the above coaching decisions. There is not a good explanation for them, and saying that Miles has won a NC does not mean that he doesn't make mistakes.
This is one of his mistakes and it has cost us. Please explain this without acting like Miles is perfect.
