Flynn never won an SEC championship at LSU. RP's number of championships is equal to Flynn, so therefore they are equal as QBs.

is 2003 Laron better than 2006 Laron?
Excellent point.
The same as: Was Barry Sanders not as good a RB as some of the others who were on a SB roster?

how he yanked him out after almost throwing a INT in '06, and quickly put Russell back in after he hurt his shoulder.

Fine. Both Championships are more than Russell ever acheived.

yeah, the year that Tee Martin became a better QB than Manning, Arkansas had Tenn beat until Stoerner fumbled the ball and gave Tenn the NC. Arkansas was undefeated and likely would have played for the NC.
So...(for the obviously mentally challenged)
No Clint Stoerner, No National Championship for Tenn, and Tee Martin isn't better than Manning.

I'm embarrassed that this guy is an LSU fan. Please do LSU fans a favor and don't come to any games.

Please, tell me how you explain these decisions by Miles:
certainly he mis-handled the RB situation in the Kentucky game. The only explanation I heard (and it never really had legs) was that there was some sort of discipline issue that kept Scott out of the second half. Miles said Scott didn't play because Ky made an adjustment, but this could've been him not publicizing the issue.
I think Miles is a guy that is going to put together a strategy and stick with it for the most part. If he has 5 plays set for a player, and the player scores on 3 of them, that won't change the strategy. He also likes consistency and predictability, which can be a serious flaw if you have to take chances to win.
I don't question that too much because it hasn't really cost us much (defense was the main culprit in the losses last year), and the running back unit appears to have great chemistry and attitudes.
Personally I don't care who starts or get the carries, I pull for the team. But there are some on here who either a) like to dis Hester because they know some fans just like him because he's white, and/or b) have an emotional investment in Miles being a flawed coach with some goofy personality disorder that causes him to make decisions that he knows aren't in the best interest of the team.

while your at it, answer what I asked a few pages back that you ignored:
quote:
I can't believe that some of you defend Miles at all cost. Please, tell me how you explain these decisions by Miles: 1. Kentucky game - CScott two long TD runs in the first half. Hester gets hurt in the 1st half. After CScott's 2nd long TD run, he doesn't get to play until the last play of the last OT. Please give a worthy explanation as to why Miles would bench the player who is healthier and obviously performing better on the field for an hour and a half??? 2. Auburn game - KWilliams catches a screen pass and turns it into a 30+ yard TD. He does not play the rest of the game. Please give a worthy explanation as to why Miles would bench a player who turned an ordinary play into a huge TD??? I realize that Miles has gone 3 straight years with 10+ wins. I realize that he beat Auburn, Florida, and Bama in the same season twice when Saban did it 0 times. I realize that he won a NC last year and is undefeated in bowl games with blow out wins. Without repeating those things, explain to me why Les Miles made the above coaching decisions. There is not a good explanation for them, and saying that Miles has won a NC does not mean that he doesn't make mistakes. This is one of his mistakes and it has cost us. Please explain this without acting like Miles is perfect.

I'm neither of those. But, I'm not going to blindly "trust" a coach when he's making obvious mistakes. And, you can say the mistakes didn't cost us, but I disagree. If a healthy Scott plays in the second half instead of a hurt Hester, we probably win, despite the defense. If RP gets to play against Arkansas when Flynn couldn't complete a 10 yard pass in the 1st half, or after Flynn hurt his shoulder, we probably win, despite the defense.

I think Flynn had a better game after he got hurt...anyway, I think the bigger issue was that the staff really didn't intend for RP to play again after the Bama suspension unless Flynn was totally incapacitated.

yeah supposedly he made a comment to the coaches that he was pissed that he wasn't getting the ball after he dominated UK in the first half and an INJURED hester was getting the carries. and i don't fault him for it, for the most part

yeah the whole, "miles is a maniac/crazy person" stuff irks me b/c for the most part miles is not a risk taker
going for it on 4th and short on your opponent's side of the 50 is almost always what you should do
going for it on 4th when you're on your final drive with time running out is what you ALWAYS do
