Only on the SEC recruiting board (messing with the Gumps).Never said that on this board. I was the poster who broke Jacoby's first commitment on his board.

he'd be better off declaring.

I'll give you an Upvote for your level headed post. I got down voted 9 times for mine.
He's already graduated from LSU.

Rehab the knee, do the pro day and combine and hopefully get drafted and have a career in the NFL. I hate that his LSU career would essentially end like this but I don't know how much sense it would make to come back and play in college for one more year after an ACL tear (if it is confirmed torn)

he'll get drafter higher in 2017 coming off a torn ACL, than he would in 2018 if he comes back for another season and shows out? Ok.

Reading comprehension

Where did I say higher? It's about missing another year of potential pay, another year to get to the "real" contract AND the potential for reinjury. You dumbasses always think it's about "how high" when it's more about getting in the league and getting to that next contract now.
I don't know where Lacouture projects & im not saying he won't come back. I'm sayin an ACL ain't the turn off to NFL teams it was. frick, Tyrann is rehabbing his 2nd one and the Cards still backed up the brinks truck

It would be great if he would come back next year but that is hard to think that he would being he already graduated, but hey who knows right, kid might love being at LSU and say, screw it I will stay here, rehab, come back for my 5th year and make a run at it.

for the NFL draft, the ACL shouldn't be an issue. Those things aren't what they used to be 20 years ago. Assuming his rehab goes well, it really shouldn't be a big deal.

But whether he comes back depends on his draft rating. Every year he stays away, it's a lost year of NFL salary and longer until a second contract. If staying in college another year increases a player's draft position sufficient to compensate for the lost year, then he should stay. Otherwise, go.
