Lee did not look good, he looked like he was trying not to make mistakes. he looked like it was his first start as in you could see him trying to gun every single throw.
the play calling bothered me, 1 series LSU would run 3 straight times, next series they would pass 3 straight times. I am also not a fan of option or the screen pass that Crowton attempted too many times last night.
He can do something against Ole Miss if needed, but he needs the running game. Without the running game going Ole Miss can attack him and he will make mistakes. Maybe it was 1 game jitters or something but he showed nothing to believe he should start over Jefferson.
Still root for the kid while he is in Purple and Gold jersey and if he is called upon again I will cheer same way as if Jefferson was back there.

Lee is very talented.....That's also his problem. He thinks that he can make throws that he (and most other quarterbacks) cannot make.
ETA Throws the ball when the play is past its point of success.

I don't think you understand, if we played Bama last night he would've thrown between 3 and 5 interceptions. The "a win is a win" and "almost is almost" is the mentality of Les Miles that is going to cause us to go 9-3 or 10-2 and never win the SECCG again as long as Nick Saban and Meyer are still in the league.

Lee performance was one of the worst QB performance I have ever seen but a QB without throwing ints

You need to watch more football if you think last night was the worst

my point is his lack of enthusiasm and yes i boo when i see a kid playing like he doesnt have a care
like you know what he is thinking? that kid wants to win as much as anyone else. the fact that he stayed at LSU and continues to take crap from fans like you says a lot more about his enthusiasm for LSU and winning than any negative perception you may have.
the only real lack of 'enthusiasm' being shown at LSU is from the losers who boo our kids.

Honestly, when he was slinging the balls out of bounds against bama, I said okay maybe it is nerves and it is bama. Then the tech game. He may need to speak to a sports psychologist, its all in his head now.

Yes.

I would rather he throw it out of bounds than throw an interception. He didnt take any sacks and didnt throw any interceptions. I would say he didnt lose the game for us. from where I stand I'm not sure that he doesnt give us a better chance to win as he gives a threat down the field that we just dont have with jj

not to mention its just not constructive to boo a kid we are trying to win with
Posted on 11/15/09 at 2:50 pm to Oyster
I think some of the booing is directed at the play calling, which is poor at best! The problem is Lee can't tell the difference???
Why are the coaches not using shep more? Might take some pressure off of whoever is at QB... WTF

we lose when the kid is playing. he sucks and should not be playing. its frustrating to see toliver and lafell wide open and overthrown. also seeing them get laid out from a mile high, terrible throw is just painful to watch.

oh crap did we lose last nite or did i just dream we won
Posted on 11/15/09 at 3:36 pm to JEAUXBLEAUX

last night was pathetic. you dreamed we won. the at least we won attitude FTL

This isn't a knock on Lee, but it became even more apparent that JJ is much better than he is last night.

So when Jefferson has his next pathetic performance, I can boo and it ok? Then I can come out and say "its obvious he just does not have it"
It is not like Jefferson has been lighting up weaker and even level competition all year. It would be different if he was.
