Is this one of those threads where we see who can say the dumbest shite?
Really? You were jumping up and down after Russell left and said that Flynn will win us a national championship? We had high expectations but nobody thought a championship was in the horizon.

After Lee managed the kind of adversity he went through the past 2 seasons, I have no doubt he is a 1st class leader.
There is no way JL could have known how things would play out but now that all the chips have fallen and him being the starter in his senior year, everything he went through is now his foundation to handle the job.
All hail Mr Lee.

We were preseason #2. Everyone had us or USC winning it all that year. That was the most confidence I have ever had going into an LSU season.

Only Mett can lead us to a national championship. We haven't seen a qb with an arm like his since Bert Jones
There are some truly bright individuals on the rant

I think we have just as good a chance with Lee as we did with JJ. When he came in the games last year He did a great job of moving the team down the field. I also believe he is capable of maturing and making better passing decisions. With Crowton and his BS gone I am excited to see what this kid can do.

Wow, OP got pretty hammered for a fairly simple, and accurate, point...
The last couple of times we've had a senior QB that wasn't the starter the prior season, it turned out pretty well for us.
Lee, Mauck, and Flynn are all very similar in terms of how they ended up with the job ... almost by "default" being the only Sr QBs on roster. There are definitely similarities between all three QBs IMO and how they ended up with the job.

Mauck was the starter the prior season before getting hurt. He wasn't a senior during the championship season. Other than that, he fits your description perfectly.

We were preseason number 2. I think everyone thought it was possible.

He's not the same. Lee has a better arm
