We really need to get Fournette some rest this weekend, against SCAR, and Western Kentucky
He's 20 years old and a trained athlete. He has to run about 18-25 times, one day a week. No "rest" is needed

Originally, I thought McNeese would hurt Fournette because I thought it would cost him yards. I figured many of the voters would just look at his final numbers without actually watching him. However, the Auburn game put him on the map and made him a household name. His performance in front of the New York media only cemented him further in their minds. He's already in the lead stat-wise and in hype. It's possibly that Bama and Ole Miss can slow him down enough for us to lose, but they will never shut him down.

Fournette may get slowed, but I doubt he gets stopped by any team. We have a few more games for Harris to get reps and get better to take some of the heat off of Fournette. E.Mich and SCar are pretty much practice games and then Fournette and Harris can test themselves against a tough Florida team.
My two biggest concerns at the start of the season was Fournette getting worn down or injured and Harris needing to develop. The way the schedule plays out I think works to their advantage so I feel pretty good about where we are.

I love how the potential of ONE TEAM (be it Ole Miss or Alabama) holds him to a decent amount of yards, that effectively nullifies his Heisman candidacy... what a joke.

Fournette's 20-for-50 reckoning is coming
And when the big opponents stack the box, I look forward to seeing Harris burn them with D&D. That fade route and basket catch at Syracuse made me a believer.

I guess you will just have to wait and see. I don't see Fournette only getting 2.5 yards per carry on 20 carries. If this were an Alabama running back he wouldn't be saying anything.

What I do know is if they threw more passes, more passes would be completed. Just like if they ran fournette more, he'd have more yards. Its quite simple actually.
Wow you are dumb.......

See here's where you're a fricking idiot. How is saying that LF may run into a D that can stop him undermining "all that is LSU?" How? How? How? I'm waiting.
Are you claiming that there isn't a D in the SEC that can slow him down? Because you dont know that with ANY certainty at all.
To me, holding him down would be akin to holding him to 120/130 yds. Thats holding him down.
Bama and OM may be able to do this by the time we play them and they've had weeks to scheme.

3. It's a stats award. Nothing drives Heisman votes quite like numbers. Fournette is already behind in that regard, because weather conditions forced LSU to cancel its opener against McNeese State. He'll play 11 regular-season games, and everyone else will play 12. That might not be fair, either, but the 200-plus yards he could have had in that game could ultimately be the difference between reaching and not reaching the 2,000-yard milestone that will matter to less discerning Heisman voters. And lest we forget: Gordon had 2,000 yards last season before the Heisman ballots were even due, and still didn't finish on top.
Way behind as in 3rd in the nation and 44 rushing yards behind the leader who has played that extra game?
