Dbs catching balls had nothing to do with the offense and both of those dropped balls were in the first half..if you didn't noticed when we would throw a little bit they would take that 8th man out the box and that's what opened up the running game

Do you see Bama, Clemson, Ohio State go vanilla in the 3rd quarter of a football game with a big lead??

Did you see those teams play a team capable of coming back from those leads?

Hell no

If we were only up a TD or two I would agree, but we were up 30....Miami feeds on turnovers. No reason to risk it.

No need to go full retard on offense either. There's conservative.....and then there's the shite we pulled in the second half.

Every team feeds off turnovers..you can't play scared all the time..5 of 6 drives in the second half went for less than 18 yards and didn't last for more than 2 minutes so that's not what I would call being successful at running out the clock. If it was working and they were gaining yards and burning 5 minutes off the clock per position that would be a different story but that wasn't the case..if you take away 4 carries in that game they only averaged 1.8 yards a carry..I'm not a negatiger Im just not blinded by my purple and gold glasses..just run your offense and play to win the game don't play to not lose

Les wouldn't have had a 30 pt lead against #6 in the nation....ever

Only a dumbass would come here and bitch about having a 30 pt lead and winning by 2 tds.

My thoughts exactly. You saved me some typing.

I don't think anyone is bitching because of a two-touchdown win. I think people are just annoyed that they get a lead and just stop trying.. run run run punt run run run run run run run punt which is the same old crap that has been going on for 10 years

the offense did look better in the first half and burrow made some great adjustments at the line of scrimmage but you have to realize LSU had that lead at half because of defense, a pick-six and poor punting by Miami which gave LSU great field position and they didn't have to drive the ball very far

Wrong. Our best runs were when more were in the box

Some of y'all acting like lsu ran all over them..take away the 50, 18, and two ten yard runs and the running game was below average

1st game of the year and it was a great win. Yes I would have loved to see more offense in the 2nd half, but the D was handling things. Now that game is done then the offense will not be able to do the same play calling or opposing Ds will load the box! Hope to see more next week before Auburn.

Les 2.0 In The Second Half

The only reason that I clicked on this thread because thought this was a discussion of the Les Miles beer blaster commercial.

Was this just because of the new QB and question marks at other positions?

I hated it by the way....I get it but I hated the heck out of it.

Used to dis Spurrier for running up the score. I'd gladly love to have poured it on the Canes last night and any future opponents we have in a similar position. We've never adopted that style of play. Time to change IMO.

That's about as dumb as it gets.

How about you take away the 4 shortest runs and I bet it gets above average...clown 0lease tell me you see the flaw in your thinking.

Take away the four shortest runs and it's still 2 yards a carry..your the clown if you don't seen how 4 rushes out of 41 make the stats look way better. The other 37 rushes didn't produce much..was trying to point out that we weren't running it down there throat like some of y'all think.. if lsu was running it down their throat we would have had more than one drive that had more than 18 yards and more than one drive that lasted more than two minutes in the second half
