Are you serious with this? You have to beat ULM before you can make a comment about the NC team.

Well we get to see how Miles does with his own recruits this year. I'm guessing if he does go 8-4, you guys will be saying "but we had a new QB."

Les can't win without Saban's Players
Yesterday i was at my son's football camp with my LSU straw hat on and a UGA guy had the gall to mention that Les has been doing it all with Saban's recruits. I said, "you must not pay attention to recruiting." He replied, "it's not who you have but what you do with who you have." Damn these people are idiots. They can ride the media firestorm all they want but I know for sure they will not know how to handle being the hunted and lose 3 games this year. HEY UGA fans

I know quite a few fairly important people in NCAA relatred fields in the mid west and they say Les is first and foremost a businessman...Meaning he is making 4 million a year. He may not desire being at L.S.U. in three more years so his recruits when they bloom for better or worse will not matter to him on a personal level. He'll be an NFL guy by then. Guarantee you this much with the corruption of the SEC (look where Saban ended up) Les Miles if he wins another title will be snatched up by some bigshot crapass.

I get sick of hearing dumbass fans showing off their ignorance! That argument is called hurling elephants; just make some wild arse accusation that is not provable to bash Miles. What players did saban sign that wouldn't have come to LSU unless he was the coach?? Let's have a name! How do they know that the recruits that did sign (I concede there may be a couple just like any other program) just because saban was coach were a big part of the team?

Yea,Louisiana guys like Dorsey , Steltz and Hester would have never considered LSU without Saban. BTW,Miles won a heckuva lot more with 'Saban's players' than Saban did.

Isn't there a ULM board you can hang out on ?

The sad thing is that Alabama will still suck, even with Saban. Sucks to be you.

I'm in awe of how clever you think you are.
Yes, Saban won an NC at LSU with 1 loss, Miles won his with 2 losses. Congrats on that point, which no one is debating. Doesn't change the fact that Miles has been more consistent year to year than Saban was at LSU. Look at the records if you don't believe me. That was the point being made. Go WarHawks!!

That's right, he can turn LSU around but not Bama, completely out of the realm of possibility. He also didn't really sign the #1 class last year, all rivals bias. He actually knew that Jimmy Johns was selling cocaine and didn't do anything about it. I keep forgetting that LSU makes coaches, silly me.

Oh I forgot one more thing. Gerry DiNardo set Nick Saban up for greatness at LSU, without DiNardo, Saban is nothing.

One other point on the thread topic:

Get ready for Danielson to be running with that shite all year long. In the Bama game last year he kept saying Players, not plays are winning this game for LSU. He kept saying seniors are making all the plays, so he in essence was already saying it last year. Of course he completely ignored the play C. Jones made.

We're going to be hearing it from everywhere nationally next year so go ahead develop your thick skin about it now. It's only going to get worse.

What's going to be most infuriating is when/if Miles goes 9-3. The national media will say I told you so when in fact Miles will have done nothing less than match Saban's best record in an even year.

It's coming, mark my words.

Maybe. Look at what leaving Rohan Davey did for Saban at LSU. Look what having JPW at UAT has done for $aban.

Thank you. We'll take it. Congrats on beating ULM and Miss. State. Also congrats on your national title run last year. Let's not forget that fantastic BCS Championship Game you all played in the Independence Bowl.

Now go away l'il Gump. You're mommy's calling you.

if you honestly think that LSU going 8-4 has more to do with miles and less to do with a green QB playing an SEC schedule than you do not belong in this conversation.

LSU will take a dip this year but after the QB's get some experience and miles signs a top 5 class in '09, the tigers will be back to where they were 05-07.
