Based on your comments about Mett and Iowa's coverage today, yes. Yes you are.

So, you're saying that Iowa had 9 guys in the box to stop the run and single coverage on the outside and Mett would have had a hard time with that?

I can say Mett could have as he did have guys running wide open against UF and either missed them or didn't see them. I don't have selective memory like others on here so I can easily see Mett having another off game with the pressure in his face like it was today for Jennings.

Les is the best head coach LSU has ever had. We should fire him. I like my sausage pre cooked ready to win a title before its out of the package.

Also I want the back up qb. Don't care what his name is or that an NFL coach thinks the starter is better. I want the back up qb. Even if Jennings is the back up, I want the back up.

So you just didn't see the wide open receivers that were missed? Mett would have made those throws, and probably a few more.

Against Florida, he misses all game and guys were open. At Ole Miss, Landry is open, throws to Beckham covered resulting in 3 ints in a half. He looked like crap against Arkansas, do yall really black out during the bad part of his year?

And since two o'clock today a lot of apologists have been saying that if mett would have played he and LSU would have destroyed Iowa winning by 35 because so many receivers were running wild wide open.

And while I liked the game plan due to weather and wanting to protect AJ, I think he could have produced more of he would have been allowed to get a rhythm. He knew he was on a short leash and it affected his game.

I've said this plenty times today, but I will say it once more. This is the exact same gameplan he had against UF and Mett looked lost and confused. Dudes were open, but he couldn't make the plays. Fumbled the ball and Landry saved him on an int.

We have this offense for the whole year then they decide to change it up, completely throwing the QBs out of routine. Mett didn't really recover after that change as his production dipped significantly.

I mean heaven forbid the coaches change the game plan based on who we are playing. I thought Les doesn't make adjustments? Thought he's the worst coach still winning from sabans players? Saban built Michigan state.

I think in both cases, we just went with the hot hand (running backs) and add in not wanting to put undue pressure on AJ today. I do agree that it knocked both QB's off their game. But it ultimately worked, bringing the sausage theme back full circle.

Fourth 10-win season in a row, 7 of 9 overall. 6-3 in bowls. It doesn't matter how it happens, just that it happens.

Every year and every game, he does things that make any knowledgeable football fan cringe. But despite all his buffoonery, his teams win a lot! His record over the last 9 seasons is phenomenal. He's had unbelievable success in the only stat that matters, the W-L line. He has LSU squarely in the very upper echelon of college football.

Watching all collage football teams play will make you cringe at some point , remember these are kids they are coaching ....
does clm make mistakes , sure he does but no more than any other coach in collage football ....

Are you kidding Jennings had plenty of time to throw the ball , he was just scared to make another mistake and cost the team the game....

People need to relax it was this kids first start he will improve as time goes on......

with a young qb and a new group of wide receivers people need to get accustomed to a ground and pound offense ......

as long as the D keeps improving we should have another 10 win season next year....

It's about the anti-process. Well done.

That doesnt make sense considering it takes the dedicated concentration to each moment of the process in order to have a solid result.

Also, an anti-process, consistently used, is still a process.

Les IS like sausage! Because sausage has no clue what's happening during a football game.

I have nothing against it but that is the reason why these guys were off. I mean guys are open and we saw that Mett could get the ball to his guys before hand, Jennings too. Yet they look discombobulated at out of place once these changes occurred. If you re watch the UF game, it's like a mirror to the IOWA game down to Hill running over the defense and the QBs being way off the mark on deep throws and throws in general.

I agree with your point, but couldn't you have made the season an omelet instead?

You know, as in the saying "you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet..."?

That would make the one at Bama a rump roast or hind quarter. I see.
