Winning w/ Sabans players
I respect LM but the championships were on Saban's recruits. Not saying LM hasn't recruited greatly, because he has, but he still hasn't won that NC solely on his own terms. This year I think he does!

rp wouldn't have saved that atrocious '08 defense. offense wasn't the problem that year, even with lee's int problem

Why they always have to be compared against each other in a "who's better" internet fight among 16 year olds never ceases to amaze me. The collective intelligence and attention span of the internet dweebs of America is exasperating.
Could it possibly be that one succeeded the other?

I agree...Mac's season records took a nose dive from the 5 or so 9 win seasons in a row his teams had put up.
Mac won 69% of his games.
The amazing thing with Miles is that he is having this kinda success at a time when the SEC is stronger/deeper than at anytime in its history as demostrated by the SEC winning the last 5 BCS titles and that by 4 different teams!!

So in your pathetic little juvenile brain, Saban's championship was Shula's?
Please tell me you aren't allowed on the streets without a keeper.

You omit his most impressive statistic (in my opinion).
Against out of conference opponents ranked in the Top 25, Miles is 11-1.
For comparison's sake:
Saban is 12-7 (at Alabama and LSU)
Stoops is a laughable 7-8.

It also helps LSU in that Miles has become somewhat of a "media darling". He is a very interesting character and unconventional in his apporoach to winning football. This helps bring positive attention to the program and helps with his already outstanding recruiting success. Having such an great non-conferences record against ranked teams shows me that he is a very good, soon to be great coach. The future of LSU football is in great hands. Plus, I just like the guy, unlike Saban, who although I respected for bringing LSU back to prominence, I couldn't stand.

Most could not

What was the Bear's winning percentage? Bear was 323-85-17 and 15-12 in bowls
His all time record was only 73%

Wow. That's pretty telling.

I'm always curious why the "winning with (former coach's) players" tag is usually ONLY applied to Les Miles.
Didn't Bob Stoops win his BCS title in his 2nd year? Urban Meyer in his 2nd or 3rd? Yet you never hear that same criticism of them.
Just a thought.

it all depends on the thinker to have that thought.
it all depends on the kind of thinker that has that thought.
the thinkers who have that thought are pitiful thinkers.
haters gotta hate.
hatters gotta hat.
sometimes, i don't even know what i think.
------------------------------------------
p.s. to be even more clear, it takes a looser to have a negative miles thought when not considering that saban did it with dinardo players.
in other words, i agree with your statement that the thought of nega-miles doesn't work if you consider that most coaches win with other's recruits.
