OK, looks like you completely missed the analogy here.
Let's review:

I'm also not the chef Gordon Ramsey is but I still know bad food when I taste it.
So, the poster is saying he doesn't have to be able to COOK the food to know if it's bad. He can simply TASTE it and know it's bad, like anyone else can.
Now, let's see if you can find the parallels with football...

Yes, and watching football is something he does every week during football season. He's not COOKING the food, nor is he COACHING the games, he's just EATING the food and WATCHING the games. So, by simply eating the food or watching the games, he, like pretty much anyone else, can tell if it's bad. See?

Guess not.

My point is, people have warranted complaints, but when they start saying things along the lines of "I can do a better job"...that's just plain stupid.
There is no doubt in my mind that a large percentage of people on this message board could do a better job of clock management right now than Les Miles does. I'd bet it's well over 50%. As for the overall job of coaching, I'd guess there's still a large portion of this board who, if they put in the time and effort that he has over the years, would be better coaches than he is.

enough to keep a job for 6 years?
At LSU apparently. It's so easy even Les Miles can do it.

Too bad he can`t manage a game clock.

One is missing the point stating that Miles knows more than a bunch of message board posters.
The more appropriate question should be does he know more than his peers in the coaching profession? That's really all that matters.
IMO...he is average among his peers. If he has better talent then he usually wins. If he doesn't he usually loses.
I suppose that can be said of most coaches.
The good coaches find ways to win the evenly matched ones more often than not, and the great coaches win almost all the even ones imo.

re: Les Miles knows more about football than anyone on this board...
I'm pretty sure pee-wee coaches know that the clock stops after a turnover.
