Oh no, I think I've confused Robert Lewis Stevenson with Alexander Dumas. Let the downvotes rain

Or just make up a new pirate story starring David Oyelowo. I just don’t like the “reimagining” of well known property bs. In most cases these days they just use the name as a carrot to draw in the pre-baked fans. Then change the story, lose all those fans who love it, and the show flops after a couple of weeks.
Maybe they don’t do that so much here, but from how it reads it sounds like that will happen. I’m sure it will have a 90% critic score on rt though.

Didn’t the black guy who wrote the book describe him as pale? I just don’t get race/gender swapping at this point. It’s no longer a novel concept and seems to turn off more people than those who like that kind of thing.
ETA: It seems that I myself have recast Robert Lewis Stevenson as a black man. Maybe Paramount plus will hire me

I feel like there are more pressing needs than finding the next Taysom Hill

This thread went on far too long without this. My 13 year old self had ulterior motives for watching pirates

I like the scene where he threatens to break his foot off in Ray Allen’s John Brown Hind Parts

Yeah, Joe Burrow’s hands are too small too.

Yeah, that’s horseshite. Paying a minor character $500k in a movie with an $8.7M budget starring Keanu, RDJ, Woody and Winona makes no sense

I made through a minute of that video and feel like my iq dropped 10 points

The ads for the pendragon cycle looked really bad, looked like some wooden acting and poorly designed sets. Costume design seemed decent though.

Filming also just wrapped up for a Ron Howard movie called Alone at Dawn. Might not come out until 27 though

Idk about busiest, but she’s pretty and is really good in fallout. I can see why she’s getting roles.

Exactly this. Do your own thing, or adapt a novel or something. Reboots are always going to be directly compared to the beloved original and will never be able to satisfy the built in audience.

Can they frick off with the reboots already? Every reboot is arse

I find it hard to believe these vocalizations don't reflect their thoughts. I know they're involuntary but its had to have crossed their minds at some point. Or they've heard it.
Who hasn't heard that word before? He has the form of Tourette's that makes him shout out the most socially unacceptable word for any given situation. Put him in a large crowd where his tics are going to be amplified and he's going to say some offensive stuff. The dude can't help it.
ETA: I bet this incident will only help to fuel sales for the movie. Which is a good thing, we shouldn't ostracize people who have involuntary tics
