the two most glaring problem areas from last return the guys responsible. How much can a new RB, TE, and WR coach do when everything starts and stops based on how the OL and QB perform?
Didn't we sign a QB books? You hang on the $9 recruiting site, run by the Bammers. Yeah, he's a high MLB risk, but Garrett isn't. As for the OL coach..isn't that the same coach who had back to back 1,000 yard rushers in 2007 & 2008?

We didn't sign a QB? Zach Lee from McKinney Texas? The Boys in Da Gump - Rivals.ShannonTerry say he's the #9 Overall Pro-style QB prospect in America.

The answer is down. In 2005, LSU was considered one of the elite programs in the country and probably best in the SEC. Now, LSU is lucky to be in the top 15.
It's not just the W/L records that everyone is pointing to. It's the fact that LSU rarely puts together a complete 60 minute game under Miles, there is no leadership, no dominance, and the fact that Miles makes many in game decisions that make you go "WTF is he thinking??"
Yes, LSU has been 8-5 and 9-4 the past two years, and while that isn't horribly bad, the fact is this program is better then that now. LSU has the capability to be among the elite consistently and the players deserve better an 8-8 SEC record.
I haven't given up on Miles completley. 2010 is THE year for Miles. If LSU can put together full 60 minute games, we will be a very dangerous team.

Miles inherited a culture.
The culture has not been continued.
2008 and 2009 are reflective of Miles' management, chaos.
He is too lax for the LSU program, he may be a great guy and I'm not sure of that, he is not the HC for LSU FB.
He did win the NC in 2007, but if folks really summon their memories, THERE WERE SCREW-UP THAT LITERALLY REQUIRED THE SURGICAL REMOVAL OF A HORSESHOE, FROM HIS AZZ, to get to that game.
He botched the endings of both KY and Arkansas. Two of the weakest teams, on our schedule, he lost the dayum'd games.
Miles' laxness began to show up, in his third year.
Last year, try as he may, was a debacle. He keeps shifting the blame on players and assistants. It is Les Miles, who cannot run our program.
Miles will not change; Michigan does not want Miles; live with him until it is TIME.

Who knows? Jefferson is the Starter. Garrett's pretty good though. What are you getting at? That LSU should have signed 3-4 QBs in a fairly weak class of QBs? Should we have hunted down a transfer like Ole Miss & R-Kansas do yearly?

the fact that you even think it's a possibility shows that you're either (1) lying to save face or (2) batshit crazy

i'm wondering why you brought up a true freshman QB as an answer to our offensive problems
books brought up our QB/OL coaching issues from last year, and said that we made no coaching improvements there
in response, you bring up lee
why did you bring up lee?

OK Stewart. I know you have the Downs, and can't pronounce the letter S. Thus we have Duward..

In 116 years of college football LSU has won 10 games or more 10 times and Les accounted for three of those.
all 3 came with the 12-game schedule
had LSU had the 12-game regular season schedule for 116 years, we would have had PLENTY more 10-win seasons

game outcomes: roughly the same
fan morale: DOWN
team direction: tough to say. This is the most important year yet since '07 coming up. Ask me when its over.

Don't you understand that if the O-line isn't good, NOTHING works on offense
Don't YOU understand Miles built that line? And coached em?
Yep, and if you'll check some of my past posts you'll see that I have brought up the possibility of sub-par coaching as a reason for this year's problems on the O-line. But it also could have beena matter of chemistry, of an offensive scheme that was too complicated for some of the new guys, or simply the fact that the talent just wasn't there. I thought it was interesting that in the combine, Ciron Black did not test out well on some of the drills. One could say that he should have been coached better, of course, but it is also possible that the kid just isn't that naturally gifted and his success at LSU is due more to sheer effort than raw skill. But that still leaves my original point, which I would hope you agree with, that the O-line is crucial to the success of any offense.

don't let the kool-aid drinking Milestown followers convince you to take a sip of the shite they're consuming. you, like myself, can actually look with logic at the current state of LSU football and not deny what we've observed.
