Had LSU lost a close game, say 21-17, this would be different. But Leslie hit the reset button Monday night and is back to being the guy who is a joke to the rest of the country. What is the definition of insanity, and could one not see a better example than the other night? In the biggest game in LSU's history (someone name one more important) and in Les's career, he lays a total egg. This reflect poorly on him and the university.

BTW, Mr. Lonnie, why don't you ever visit the ULL board anymore? And I'm not ULLJJ btw, though a disciple of his teachings.

Yes, if Les has shown us one thing it his ability to change things up.

Someone made money on that game ,

Les only makes changes when he has no other alternative. He went 13-1 this season. He's not close to being fired, hence he's not close to making any changes. I think people forget that you don't get a job at that level unless you have an enormous ego to begin with.

You will always hear a guy like that tell you that he made mistakes, but will never hear them say that they were wrong. There's an enormous difference between the two psychologically. One is a failure in execution, the other a failure in judgment.

I'm freaking done with these "fans" that are getting on here almost a week later and are suddenly football coaches.

"If Miles would do this, do that.... I mean, we suck because he's lucky. Next year we're gonna be so awful....." blah blah blah

fricking get over it. It's over and done and pissing and moaning about what happened in the game isn't going to change anything. Quit embarrassing the program.

I really can't stand some of our "fans" sometimes. shite.

This is my worry. I think someone will lean on him though and force him to at least look at the way things were handled. Not saying I think anything will definitely change.

Would les have run man coverage and blitzed with 40 secs left and the lead?

Well, his football teams are no joke and I could care less bout the rest of the country.

BTW, is that the same rest of the country who thinks all the males in the south are red necks, drive pick up trucks, and are married to their 3rd cousin?

I got banned twice from the old delphi forum you guys had, that semi pay forum you have I didn't find very interesting, and I don't go to Lafayette hardly at all now....had a group of Cajun fans, LSU fans, and McNeese guys I would break bread with once upon a time.

Congrats on winning the bowl game.

He needs to play the guys we want him to play and he shouldn't ever lose a game cause we, LSU players, are more talented than God.

I overstate a tad, but that's the general idea.

In this particular situation, Les set himself up for failure. He has no one to blame but himself for any blame. I know you will never believe it, or admit it, but sometimes it may be true.

Read this one again. LINK

LSU fans are a bit disappointed because you only get to the NCG once in a while, and what we feared came to pass. Maybe we were right, just this once. Miles didn't have a contingency plan, or he was too stubborn to go use it.

Every coach has their issues and failures. We are very familiar with Les' and they tend to be quite maddening. It doesn't mean his a bad coach, average coach or only a good coach. He may in fact be top 10 or top 5. You are correct about the results. His detractors are quite correct about very frustrating patterns that defy logic. Over time i do believe he has made some changes for the better and sometimes he does not make them. I hope that he does some deep self and program evaluation after this game. I do believe he has taken it hard - he is not insulated from the comparisons to Saban. But the public will see very little of this.

I would like to see Les move to a more Bobby Bowden style (handle the offense like he does with the defense) and be more of a CEO.

As an aside, I truly believe that had Les kept Lee as the starter for every game and brought JJ in as a change of pace we would be 14-0. Just another maddening move by Les.

But I will take the results of the past 7 years any time. I am an LSU grad '94 - four years of losing. A head coach change is idiotic, emotional reactionism (not a word). Every organization must grow, change and adapt. Bowden was fantastic at this. Les has show some ability to do this. Hopefully we see more.

You have started a good compelling topic with varied opinions. Minus a few knuckleheads it has been a good discussion. Nice work.

Les wouldn't know what to do on defense if his life depended on it .

according to Lonnie, he should keep being Les, have a quirky personality and eat grass, so our coach can be 'unique' like south La., and if you lose a big game oh we'll, it's always someone else's fault anyway.

Hell yeah!!

Give me another 7 years of winning, some BCS bowl games, some west and SEC titles, 5 Top 8 finishes, BCSCGs, and elite season after elite season and Lonnie will be one happy Tiger fan!

I can be frustrated or disappointed in not winning it all without losing sight of the fact the past 7 years, and this one, have been the best in LSU history.

When 13-1, 9-0, west champs, SEC champs, and BCSCG is no longer good enough, then we do have problem but it's not with a coaching staff.

What part of losing a National Title don't you understand? We could beat Ala. 10 times in a row and it won't matter, they won the Title that should have been ours to finish this perfect season.

It is amazing to me how many people want to treat Miles like a God. Justifying his every decision, no matter how stupid it may have been.
I am not even saying he is a bad coach, but he is an employee, a human... who answers to an employer.

Some do not want to hold him accountable for anything.

It's no wonder cults exists.]
