the ball is going to mainly one receiver, Giles (who is 5' 11")
Hey, since your knock on Giles getting the ball appears to be based on his height, any guesses on how tall both OBJ and Jarvis Landry are?
OBJ: 5’11”
Landry: 5’11”

that we’ve had upper echelon talent at the WR position for over a decade yet can’t seem to get them the ball while they’re in school. James Wright couldn’t get a second look from the LSU coaching staff, yet has managed to keep a pro contract longer than a college scholarship

BUT DONT ASSUME FOR A SECOND THAT NARCISSE WILL BE GOOD! We haven't seen him play enough
Athletic, but can't accurately throw a football good enough for this level.
Either you're an accurate passer or you're not. Accuracy can sometimes improve a little, but not enough to produce a Championship for a team that will have to depend on a great passing game to win a Title.
He needs to be at a school that utilizes the QB in the running game. That's not LSU.
Sorry LN/DTQB sycophants, O/E are going more to a West Coast Offense that requires a QB that can consistently throw an accurate ball.

People will disagree and down vote, but the last young, inexperienced receiver to do squat was OBJ. Dupree wasn't much. I keep hearing about the phenomenal talent of Drake Davis. He may graduate before he gets double digit receptions.
People rave over the talent at wide receiver, but they have done absolutely nothing. Marshall and Chase haven't caught a pass in college. I hope they have great college careers, but they'll be breaking the mold if they do so as freshmen at LSU.

Completely agree TigerLunatik. I just want to talk about something OTHER THAN QBs. For some reason, EVERY YEAR, the conversation is the right QB when it's ALWAYS MORE!
Strategic shouting to make your points? You've got a bright future here, kid.

Believe me, I think we have wasted a lot of talent at TE, that were athletic and fast. Point was, you can still beat lb with slow TE, based on selling run and releasing and also some of the heavy packages show run and release TE and a little hesitation and lb is beat even if TE is slower. Pettigrew flexed out and isolated on lb would be great but haven't showed that yo this point. Long list of talented guys wasted under miles because they didn't exploit mismatches by using formations/ alignments that isolated the mismatch. Was the old "we're gonna line up and run against 8 and 9 man fronts" instead of seeing that and checking to pass/ hot route and beating the blitz. Hoping to see that this year and I like the rpo concepts.

Brandin Cooks is 5'10
Antonio Brown is 5'10
Lots of great receivers under 6ft. Some of those guys are burners, but Landry is not really a burner.
I haven't seen enough on Giles to really know his game or how he plays.

This is a terrible analogy you are reaching for. The proper analogy would be that we're going to assume Giles is the #1 receiver because all signs have pointed to that; just as we're going to assume that Brennan is the starter, because all signs have pointed to that.
Regardless of correct these assumptions are, this is a valid analogy. However it does not support your viewpoint.

Oh crimminy! Wright was behind OBJ and Landry. Of course he couldn't get on the field.

Why are you implying that our #1 WR being under 6ft is a problem?

Marshall and Chase are the real deal.
