It's nice to get to see the guys do their thing in the Spring scrimmage, but I don't know how much a "don't touch the QB" session really tells us.

From the film I have seen on Liggins, I would say he's going to play some QB.

Agreed, yet everyone is so quick to jump on the Mett train. For the record, Mett made a few more bad decisions with he ball than Rivers did. It gets old cutting down players that haven't set foot on the field. I feel good about all 4 guys we have under center, and I think they will all get their chance when the time is right.

This conversation is at least one year premature.

From what I've seen on film of him and from what I've heard from him giving interviews, Liggins just appears to have "it". Can't really describe it, but I just feel really good about his chances to be a star @ LSU or at the least a great team leader.

He is tough, motivated, and people just seem to gravitate toward him.

U guy's are judging Rivers too quick. The spring game means nothing. Wait until the season progresses & then judge. How can u be sure Mett is the man so quick. U sure can't tell from the action he got last season under Les!

The thing that isn't mentioned here is Kragthorpe >>>>>>>>> Crowton. These guys are in much better hands during their early development than Lee or Jefferson.

Jeremy Liggins will split time with Rivers after Mett leaves and win out IMO

I'll be surprised if Rivers ever sees the field from all the reports I've heard about his performances.

Never said he wasn't, but he also has more natural ability, IMO.

Rivers was not that bad at the spring game imo. He was 6-17 but had about 3 drops. The rest were a pick and throwaways due to how good our 1st team secondary was.

I had two different people tell me he was terrible that day. I didn't get to see for myself, unfortunately.

Watching all the spring games on ESPN, most teams have several good QB prospects waiting in the wings like Arkansas and Notre Dame

You're basing your evaluations off the Spring Game?

That's a bad idea if you are...
