The game will come down to LSU’s o-line. Protect nuss and we will win. If we come out and get pushed around like USC did it will be another ugly start to the year.
It’s a big part but our D will be the bigger factor - if they can’t get off the field, we lose

777 where the F is all that talent that BK squandered. You are going to say the great offense in 23,but tell me where were the O an D lineman that BK inherited.Im talking more than 1 or 2quality guys it takes to compete week after week in the SEC.It didn’t exist and this is the 1st year we come close to having some depth.

The more and more I read up on Clemson the more I feel better about LSU chances.
There one edge rusher TJ Parker is a dude, but outside of him there’s really not much too be scared of. There DT #11 is good but not someone who is going to manhandle your oline like some Alabama or Georgia players recently.
And I’m not at all convinced there offense is going to be better than ours.

They are saying potentially 12 guys from their roster this year will be in the NFL next year.
Posted on 8/7/25 at 5:58 pm to Raging Tiger
Ok LSU also has dozen or so guys that will “potentially” be in the NFL next year.
Potential NFL guys next year
Zavion Thomas
Aaron Anderson
Chris Hilton
Barion Brown
Patrick Payton
Harold Perkins
AJ Haulcy
Nuss
Whit Weeks
Jack Pyburn
Nic Anderson
Mansion Delane
Bauer Sharp
Jimari Butler
West Weeks
Bernard Gooden
I don’t know why so many people around here are acting like little ole LSU doesn’t have players.

I think we're clemson too much credit. when's the last time you've watched clemson and said ,man, thats one badass offense? when's the last time you've watched clemson and said, man, thats a badass offense that the clemson d is shutting down?
all ive seen is them getting blown out after keeping it close for a half against a Georgia offense that looked like shite.
same thing against their acc opponents.
they shouldn't be scaring us. the only thing that scares me is our o line vs their d line but they should be afraid of the same thing against us.
plus, you can scheme an offense to combat the line getting after the passer with screens and quick throws. plus,I hope they try to play press man coverage and blitz us, as long as nuss can have a couple seconds he can put air under the ball and let brown and hilton run under it. nobody can run woth them on a go route.

Both CB’s are projected 1st rounders, Terrell in 2026 and Hampton in 2027…

In particular, tackle the damn quarterback. Hopefully Perkins is going to contribute bigly in this.

Apple- Locked on Clemson
This guy is straight delusional. Letting his fan get the best of him. It’s actually insane.

it's just that BK is squandering resources/opportunities here thus far
This is a stupid take the only opening game that was a head scratcher was last year against USC. 2022 BK had built a team with duct tape and bubblegum after being left with a bare cupboard, 2023 FSU ended up being one of the best teams in the country until they lost their QB. 2024 USC was indeed a shite performance. We will see what happens this year but acting like some other coach would have definitely done better is not a reasonable take.

Projecting a 1st rounder multiple years out

I realize it’s locked on Clemson, but the goober hosting might as well be wearing a cheerleader outfit with Pom poms. Again I get it, it’s a Clemson podcast but no objectivity. Scone is an obnoxious know at all, but at least he’s objective. Don’t waste your time with this clown.

Typically this time of the year is wart season. At the beginning of camp, everyone is bigger, stronger, faster. Now, all you've seen/heard is from your team's camp, so all you can see are the warts.
You just don't know how bad other team's warts are compared to yours.

Clemson's defense looks pretty solid as far as d line and tackling. Tom Allen is a really good DC
They have two top 15 picks on the d line and probably another guy who is at worst a 2nd rounder.
Lsu better be ready to block well.
28-30 either way.

I loved when Scone went scorch earth on their journalist because all they see is orange and nothing else.

Do you know why they said two first round draft picks?
Parker and Woods stats are wildly inflated. 4 sacks in one game against Pitt for Parker and Woods had like 6 TFL’s in one game against some no name team.

They are blinded by their fandom...They think their stuff doesn't stink. They think that the trxas game was close and that they threw for the most yards against Texas than anyone else. It was a three score game with 3 minutes left in the 3rd and Texas took their foot off the gas and allowed them to creap back within one and as soon as they did, Texas scored with ease. can someone make a .gif of whatever the he'll klubnik was doing at the 9:50 mark.
They are returning the most starting production in the country that barley squeezed by an easy schedule. Backdoored their way into the playoffs. The fans think the new d coordinator is going to drastically change the defense in year one. But we know, while yes, our D improved whith Baker there were still glaring issues with our D with the same players from 2023. LSU saw weaknesses and went out and got players to help fix those issues. Clemson is relying on experience. I'm not sold.
TLDR: Clemson sucks. LSU by 40.

A few things in that podcast/OPs breakdown need some clarification:
Tom Allen / Defense – Yes, Allen has absolutely put an emphasis on tackling and physicality. That’s been a huge theme this camp, and it’s exactly what Clemson needed. But it still has to translate onto the field when the games start.
Alexander – He’s been praised for leadership and work ethic, but he’s not projected to start or play much against LSU. At least early, he’s more of a rotational piece.
TE Room – The “basketball player” is 4th or 5th on the depth chart at TE, and he’s suspended for the LSU game anyway. Realistically, he wasn’t going to play a big role regardless.
Left Tackle – This one’s off. Tristan Leigh is the starter and a preseason All-ACC pick. Brandon Jacobs’ son (freshman LT) is his backup. He got a lot of spring reps while Leigh was recovering from minor surgery, and coaches are really high on him long-term — could be Clemson’s best OL prospect in years. But he’s not starting this year unless injury forces it.
RB Situation – 5-star freshman Gideon Davidson is being brought along slowly. Coaches don’t want to risk Klubnik’s health by playing a back who isn’t fully ready in pass protection. He’ll get mop-up duty early and probably grow into a bigger role later in the year. Adam Randall (the WR convert) is working at RB and may get some touches, but it’s very much RB-by-committee until someone separates.
