Just please stick around this season, unlike last season when you were M.I.A. beginning MSU week.

Well we actually have to get a couple of those guys first, and hope that none of our current guys decommit.

it's been rumored that emery will commit to us before the season and Devonta Lee also

Like last week when LSU lost games? I'm glad I didn't post at all. But, don't worry about me. Unless I go home I will have time and internet and will post.

Well, what does it matter if he's a 5 star? You just spent time giving us 30 or so examples of how inaccurate the rankings are.

Just playing to the crowd brother. It is so horrible right now some idiot bumped this thread because LSU is only in the top 10 of recruiting classes in July. Just trying to be miserable with some of the others. It's not working, BUT I am trying while smiling.

You mean to tell me out of the millions of players that play high school football they might somewhat miss on players being NFL talent? We have literally never have a problem putting talent into the NFL. The problem has always been getting their potential out of them while they are in college.

I hear ya. Honestly, the fact that Orgeron is nationally known as a recruiting guru, I have no problem trusting his evaluations of the players over the recruiting services. It seems as if anywhere in the top 10 should be a great class, no?

Yes, thank you !!!

The article I posted that was done by the recruiting site ONLY included the LOWEST ranked recruits the last 10 years minus JUCO's and special teams players.

Recruiting class rankings definitely correlate with winning a National Championship or being in the playoffs though. Something along the lines of the 15th best class should almost never fly at LSU with the amount of instate talent we have.

It seems as some here only care about ratings. Like LSU should not recruit needs and build depth on the D and O lines.

Damn the needs and depth, lets cry over not being the top rated class in the nation. Even though LSU is the only top rated class to have two 2-star specialists.

LSU is doomed !!!

You must be new and never looked at Clemson's (won a national championship recently) rankings. They have much worse recruiting classes than the haters are crying about on this board.

I'm only guessing, but that may come a lot from people like me that don't read the recruiting board or keep up with the high school players or watch their videos. I mean, I keep up with what's in The Advocate and what's on the radio, but I don't follow it like you do. The only thing I really have to go by is the rating. BUT, since recruiting is O's specialty, I don't feel the star rating is as important because I trust him in that area.

For you that don’t check the recruiting board religiously, LSU have had an incredible 5 days in a row

One more reason why a 10 win season is a reasonable expectation this year!

-11 of the 14 national champions averaged a top 10 recruiting class in the four years leading up to them winning the crown.
-Nearly half (six of 14) averaged a top five class.
-Five of the last six have averaged a top six class or better.

It correlates. Im not saying one offs dont happen. It definitely helps when you have the best QB in college football.

WOW, JUST WOW !!!

LSU had commits who won't even be on the team or signed to be on the team and LSU should have 10 wins.

Non top 10 recruiting can be compensated for by:

1. Elite coaching, and/or
2. Elite QBing

Unfortunately we'll have to wait for a third category to show itself if we're going to win a NC under O.

This is what happen when you say lies and no one checks the facts. Clemson singed like 15 players to everyone else 25. Their player average was insane like 94. Had they signed the amount as everyone else they would have been top 3
