When the thread was started, LSU was listed as one of the top 4 seeds, but the exact seed wasn't listed. Now we know LSU is #4.

Had we played them yesterday and beaten them, MAYBE. Resumes are extremely similar, and they took 2 of 3 from us.

At the midpoint of the season, after dropping 2/3 to TAMU, we really didn't look like a team that was going to rattle off 16/18. So those midweek game losses were being magnified. It's awfully hard to sit back and say, "all we need to do is sweep the final 2 series and sweep the sec tourney and we will be fine."

Florida getting ten run ruled in a shut out game against the team LSU beat yesterday makes me question their seeding. oh well.

I understand that, and had it just been your run of the mill tourney I could still see it.
We blew through the week, run ruled 2 teams (one of which was in the talk for a possible top 8), and won the whole thing
While UF made a grand exit by getting run ruled to the tune of 16-0 by a team that we took 2/3 from on the road, then beat again for the title.
Just figured that would probably be enough.

I agree with florida over us. If the shoe were on the other foot, and some lower seed bumped us because of the tourney, it would be wrong. I can see the tourney helping to get bubble teams in, but it really shouldn't have much impact on final seeding. Most teams don't really play it to win at all cost.
