Why do so many of you throw a hissy fit if a batter swings at the first pitch? I understand this pitcher is struggling a little, but its the same narrative with pitchers that are walking nobody.
You get 1st pitch fastball majority of the time, unless you are facing a big time pitcher. This dude wants strike one bad, so I bet he is throwing first pitch fast ball 80% of the time. That is to a hitters advantage big time if you are looking for fastball and you get one to hit.
Look at first pitch fastball for strike one and now you are in a bad spot.
