this team kinda reminds me of that final four texas tech team from a couple years ago.
my dad’s a tech alum so i watched damn near every game that season, their defense was smothering but they looked like shite offensively multiple games that year. but they came together in the tournament and went crazy.

We played an absolutely terrible game. We played like pure arse meat. Missed open shots, committed dumbass turnovers, blew rotations, just all around frickery on our part. But we dug deep, really deep, and gutted out a tough victory. Wade’s teams sans the first two would’ve folded like a cheap suit with this slow start and lost by 10+ points. Not this team though. They’re gritty and tough. I don’t think they’ll have many games like this where the easy stuff just doesn’t fall, so moving forward I feel even better about the makeup of this squad. This team is good and will go far.

-Xavier needs to learn his role. Tried to do too much tonight. Drive and get hacked or be a game controller. He isn’t a pull up jumper or 3 point guy. It all starts at the top
-Days HAS to be more consistent. This team has enough talent but the experience of Days will take us deep.
-Gaines needs to be a driver only. Can’t shoot from the perimeter. Lockdown D though. I’ll take the stupid mistakes if he gets ~10pts game driving and getting fouled

Road game is a little bit much. And Penn St. is tiny. I’ll just say it’s never bad to win nail biters in basketball.

Needed this game. On the road, decent (not great) opponent from the B1G. 3s weren't dropping for us. Days was off his game. Other guys had to step up, and they did. Eason won us this game, but lots of guys made key plays at key times. This was exactly what the coaches needed at this stage of the season. You still get the W, and you get to show the team how they all play a critical role, and you get plenty of tape to break down of how/why things were not as good as they should have been.

Nah he just held onto the ball through the whole shot clock and missed the basket completely on a step back three. Horrible possession with an opportunity to put the game away.
