Just my observation: we were clicking when smart was driving there when we went up 9. Then at the 3 minute mark we decided to stop playing offense and stall. Huge mistake.

Neither team played well. Tremont gave up too many turnovers for a talented PG today. Pressing too much early.
Shot really well from 3 in 2nd half and that would have likely been enough had Temont not choked on 2nd FT.
Dominated on boards and too many turnovers, but make your FT’s at the end and it’s likely a win rather than a tough loss.

We match up well with anybody but Okie State will be a tough matchup, as they are pretty good in transition, we like to run more than most however. To be honest it will determine how focused and how much we regroup.
They have one post and one guard that are key guys to look out for, but unlike FSU they do not play in waves, and I think we can attack off the dribble.

I expected a 5-7 point loss today, but I’ll be damned if they almost pulled it out.
Hard to swallow. Loved what I saw from Smart today. Thought he had won it for us with his 2nd half play.

Point is they are a bad rebounding team,they were last year and they are again this year. Oh and yes Taylor followed his shot but he banged into the guy.

For the most part this is a very young team that played a veteran team very well. Poor play down the stretch doomed us. They will learn from this game. It is not like football where 1 or 2 losses ruin a season. They will only get better. Tough loss to a good team.

2. The refs were horrible. Not biased, just incompetent. WTF calls both ways.

For every one of those there were 5 that the shooter was heading back the other way to play some great perimeter defense
