Wait, there was an LSU bar on the Upper East Side? There was a bar on the Upper East Side named “Bait Shack”!?

Was at the game. Pure elation one minute, pain and sadness the next. Got kicked out of SkyBar that night

That had to be a long time ago....back in 2007 the bar was Turtle Bay 52d and 2d...

quote:Brother Jimmy's was an Eastside institution - the original one was on 76th and 1st before it moved to 77th and 2nd (I think). The theme was Southern comfort food, but definitely with a Carolina flair (like, they had the nasty clear BBQ sauce).

Then, Jimmy opened the Bait Shack up on 92nd. It had more of a "swamp" theme - which eventually just got taken over by the Louisiana crowd. You could get crawfish sometimes.
Eventually, there was a Bait Shack West, as well as one in Chicago I think?
The waitresses were hot and fun and the general vibe was great. It wasn't a "sports bar".

The game sucked but Legends was fun especially for an early game, only complaint they had to fine Jager, but they returned the favor by getting a round of Fire Ball. Thanks for the recommendation.
