Stevenson hitting bombs is no real surprise. He showed power as a freshman. He just planed the frick out of his swing last year.
eta: i guess i should have worded that he showed the ability to drive the ball out of the yard. As we all know he was abysmal at the plate his freshman season.

doesn't he have like "1" his whole career at LSU?
Posted on 2/11/15 at 2:23 pm to LSUTygerFan
Yep. And Laird has none. I'm going to guess that Laird gets his first this year.

don't they know that chicks love the long ball?

he had 23 hits as a FR, and his 1 HR was his only extra base hit.
last year 83% of his hits were singles.

Getting on base and hitting with RISP is all that matters for those two.
A more concerning stat, in general, is that Stevenson only had 1 assist and Mark had 2. Our outfield have been so weak the last few years.

yeah, i'm not really worried about their lack of HR's.
with these 2x4's they call bats, it's not surprising that they have a grand total of 1 between them.

His HR was a bomb and he hit some other balls to the track.
You can disagree but him hitting 2 HR in a scrimmage with new balls surprises me none.

did it hit the married student dorms? Has it landed yet?
honestly with his size i'm surprised he hasn't hit more.

should we all predict the HR totals for each player?
Posted on 2/11/15 at 2:52 pm to AstroTiger
only the first 10-11 starters.
