It must suck being such a miserable person. How butthurt were you after the UK win??

quote:

quote: A&M 2x, @ UK, @ South Carolina, Oklahoma even if lsu wins ALL of those games, lsu can't afford any bad losses, has to win on the road, and has to hope that opponents continue to play well. it's a really, really bad situation right now even after this week.

If LSU wins all these games, they can definitely afford a "bad" loss or two.

We lost 1 game at full strength. Also you don't know that we wouldn't get in. Teams every year make it and people shake there heads on how did that happen. And those said teams don't have the #1 overall draft choice on them.

Yes I really wish we would have beaten Wake, if so we would be right on schedule.

And guess what genius, the season doesn't end TODAY.

Oh and to show you how far that logic you use works, do you realize if football season ended on Nov. 6th..........never mind, now I'm sounding as dumb as you are

I've been patiently waiting for a well coached basketball team for 3 years. Still hasn't happened

I never doubted JJ being able to recruit, but I have questioned the staff's ability to match up with the big boy coaches of college basketball. I think we did that pretty well Tu. night.

Interesting is this never ending knock on LSU coaches and their coaching ability. Baseball coach has a NC and we visit the CWS bout on average of every other yr., but he doesn't know the game every well. Football coach has won at a rate which allows our program to be like #3 in wins and it has been to 2 NCGs, but he's only average and would be easy to replace.

The more we get, the more we want.

ALOT

A lot is like any two-word phrase with the indefinite article (a) followed by a noun (lot). For instance, a cow, a cloud, and a burrito are similarly constructed phrases, but no one would write these acow, acloud, and aburrito. Why a lot is so often compounded into alot is an interesting linguistic mystery. It may have something to do with the existence of the unrelated adjective allot, or it could be because lot in this sense is not common outside this phrase (though the plural, lots, is also common in a nearly identical use).

If you're going to capitalize something to scream and make a valid point, you should make sure it's an actual word first.

there was absolutely nothing SAFE about lsu last year. they barely, barely made it in. they were on the bubble until the very end, sometimes on the outside looking in. the early road wins cancelled out the craptastic auburn sec tourney loss

Once they beat Arkansas on the road to end the season, we didn't know it at the time but they were in. The "craptastic" loss to Auburn in the SECT didn't matter. People put WAAAY too much stock in the conf. tournaments, at least as far as the power conferences are concerned. The committee looks at the season as a whole. They have said before that the conf. tournaments don't carry a ton of significance. Hell, Ole Miss floundered down the stretch AND lost their opening game to a bad South Carolina team. They still made the NCAAT

quote:

those 2 wins barely nudged lsu's rpi. unless those 2 teams get it together, i don't think they're going to count for as much as some people are making it out.

Assuming they keep winning, LSU's RPI is going to go up just by virture of playing a SEC schedule the rest of the way. Don't get too concerned about RPI right now. Currently there are teams like Monmouth, UT Arlington, Chattanooga, South Dakota St., UC Irvine, Georgia St., Ark. Little-Rock and even a 5-7 UC Santa Barbra who are ALL in the RPI top 50. Those teams are all playing their weak conference schedule now and their RPI ranking will gradually reflect that. It's not inconceievable AT ALL that if LSU takes care of business in Jan., their RPI could go up 50-70 spots by the time February starts.

quote:

it's a really, really bad situation right now even after this week.

It's not an ideal situation. You would prefer to have wins over Marquette and/or NC State, and Houston. However, this past week has given LSU a starting point to make a tournament push. Now if they go out and lose 4 games this month, then this last week won't be that significant. But they are not in the complete dire straits you're making it out to be. There's still A LOT of work to be done if LSU wants to be a tournament team. However, January and to a lesser extent, February provides opportunities for that to happen

We beat a 8-5 team and another team that is incompetent on the road. Me saying the season ends today is about the same as saying "have patience" on a team who lost 5 ooc games. We lost to fricking Charleston there's no excuse for that. I am happy we are winning put you sunshine punters need to quit acting like this team is sitting pretty right now. What are you going to say if we lose to Florida?

awesome, I see you have your LSU/Florida pic settled in. We beat a team on there court that many say or said at least was the best in the SEC this year by 8. We Also beat the #9 team in the NATION by 18. Downplay it all you want but that's pretty good if you ask me. We lost a game at the buzzer and 2 others in OT without our whole team in tact. We are a young team, that's obvious and some teams take time to gel. I agree the Charleston loss was horrible, but I say the Wake loss was even worse. We were on a run and at full strength at home. Had we won that Wake game I think we would be right on schedule.

Bookmark the thread, root for the Gators, and be the first to post IF we lose. I'm sure that would make your miserable arse much happier than a Tiger win. You sir sound like a pleasure to watch LSU games with.

You are some kind of stupid if you read what I wrote as cheering against them. You just know what I said is right and so you are trying to spin what I said. I book marked the thread so let's see if at the end of the year all the fans needed to do was be "patient". Hopefully you are right, but until then you should quit all the sunshine threads.

Like I said, you must be fun to watch games with

Also idiot, I said be patient because of Hornsby and Victor not being on the court at the time I started the thread. I knew this team would come together that's why the Wake loss killed me. Thank god for the big bowl win because that loss really had me wondering and bummed that night. So If we beat Florida, please feel free to be as FAST to post in here as you would if we lose.

Bud, you are panicing too much. Yea we are in a hole but we have plenty of opportunities to pull ourselves out. We also have only played 1 game with our full roster available to us which the committee will consider. So if we end up with a top 60 rpi and had to play 30% of the season without 2 of our top 3 players then I think we'll be fine.

Wow, so that's the only time you WILL post in here. Not to say we're getting better, or the teams starting to come together, or dam what a difference a month makes. Only to say, see I told you we WERE NOT GONNA MAKE THE TOURNAMENT. Yeah I'm sure you are fun to watch the games with. Enjoy the season, I know I will. If it turns out like I think, I'm gonna just sit back and enjoy the ride. If it turns out like you think, oh well there's always next year I guess. But hey I'm sure I can look forward to your fire Johnny threads huh

No I read just fine, like you said, the only way you're coming back to post here is if we don't make the tournament. I'm sure you can't wait.

Bottom line man, he's a good recruiter and he's not a good coach.

No defense, no offensive scheme, poor free throws... Same old crap. B/C of our piss poor start, we'd be very fortunate to get into the dance, even with an outstanding SEC record.
