Or next week if the Super Regional is held out here. The Angels Stadium is open next weekend and maybe Cal State Fullerton would arrange to play it there (provided we win this weekend and they do as well.)

I can't make that.

I'm teaching a class for a week starting that Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania in Philly.

But I'll be finished in time to go straight to Omaha!

THAT would be AWESOME...albeit unlikely.

Too bad. Well, we still have to win this weekend and maybe I'll be able to make it to Omaha again so we can meet up.

Hell, San Diego LSU Alumni had their boil this past Sunday and had over 3,000 in attendance.

I've got family in San Diego and they say this is becoming one of the bigger annual social events of the year. Lots of LSU fans in the area and more converting each year!

I do as well. Hell, I lived down there for 5 years and that party consistently rocks. I made jambalaya one year and brought it into the office - you'd think these people had been starving all their lives the way they went at it. hahaha. That crock pot was clean inside of 15 mins!

I brought up the Long Beach St game earlier today with no response. Im curious how many fans made it to those games back in 2003. For the football games at Az St and Az we had a great crowd. Many of which came over from Vegas or Socal. But football is different than baseball. I doubt that many LSU fans out there care a lot about baseball. The alumni association should buy up tix and then distribute. That's the only way we bring a real crowd. I'd say 200-300 is the max we bring.

the Long Beach baseball game was pretty good attendance, for a reg season series. SoCal Alum chapter had a bbq tailgate, there were probably about 200-250 fans there.

I said yesterday - when LSU travels west, the LSU faithful that live out here are like starving Ethiopian children being led into Lawry's Prime Rib.

I got a "Geaux Tigers!" while hiking a trail saturday. Had my LSU cap on (as usual) and we were hiking up a ridge. This guy is coming down and give the salute. It was an alum from San Bernardino. Unfortunately the person with him was a gump.

The stadium only seats 1,250, so it won't take many Tigers to turn that place into a mini-Alex Box West.

200 tickets cannot equate a crowd.

I don't think you will be able to tell... That stadium holds roughly more than your local t-ball field

Emails circulated yesterday and this morning among the alumni chapter in LA and someone who was trying to arrange for a block of tickets said that all the 200 tickets allotted to LSU were grabbed up by season ticket holders. Thus, chapter members, like me, just got tickets directly from UCLA. Only full session packages were on sale today and all of the reserve seats were snapped up today. I'm guessing the general admission tickets will be sold out by Friday and there will be no single game tickets left for sale on Friday. So I'll be there!!

I would love to know the exact number of LSU fans that bought tickets.

How many GA tickets were for sale?
