While looking upward, you've missed some damn fine football.

W4LSU hits the nail on the head here. A telling sign is that I used to hate his posts, now unfortunately I feel he may be right.
I have "W"Tised you. I know I am one of the most controversial posters on here, but I am right. The entire backlash from everyone tells me I'm right and they don't want to deal with it or acknowledge this

Im still trying to figure out how people are even using this as an argument. LSU has put more players in the NFL the last 5 years than just about anyone.

All this because you don't think you get your money's worth? Boo hoo! Poor You!

Jesus Christ....get the frick over yourself. You're a fricking idiot, thats why you get the backlash. Just because you keep repeating something doesn't make it true.

In life there is a segment of people who are analytical/thinking types who take notice of a lot of little things in life no matter what it is they are doing, we have a hard time enjoying outselves at times. Then there is a large segment who live for the moment, oblivious to many things other than the big picture. Some people are planners/savers, some are pure spenders and will worry about tomorrow another day. The analytical types notice many of the same things present in this team that have been ongoing for 5-seasons which LSU was able to overcome through talent advantage or other means in the past, this season they don't have enough experience and developed skill to overcome mistakes against similarly skilled opponents. I am not going to throw rocks at the half-empty or half-full view points, I just want the team run with a lot more precision and elimination of ongoing fubars every series. LSU can compete with anyone when they play efficiently and execute, it's just a shame that has happened on maybe 40% of the offensive snaps this season. Money is money, there is always other entertainment out there if football is wearing on you that badly.

Fact is, I know by the way we are coached, that we will lose another regular season game, that why I offered to stop posting if we didn't. As much as I don't want this to happen, I know Les will not have us prepared and motivated to beat either Ole Miss, whose coach has made Miles look stupid in the past especially the year we won the NC, and Arkansas who has beat us what 3 out of the last 4 or 5 seasons and has been unranked a every year except one????

As the saban players have drifted out, we are seeing a decline here

Not speculation here, we rulled the West with saban here and now that he is at BAMA and has a 2 out of the last 3 years against Miles and LSU, I'd say there is a new but old sherrif back in town, you?
First...we dind't "rule" the west when your boyfrind was here. He backed into the 2001 title thanks to 9-11 and getitng to play AU in the first week of December rather than September with a 5-3 record. Have you forgotten LSU fans booing the team off the field in the loss to ole Miss in 2001...under Mr. Wonderful?
We were great in 2003.
Am I missing another year where he ruled the west? Seems I remember his LOSING the west on a final play against Arkansas one year...right?
Seems your complaint is that BAMA now has a solid coach which makes LSU's road tougher than it was when Saban was here and he was coahcing against Mike Shula. The SEC is a tougher nut to crak in 2009 than it was in 2001 or 2003...wouldn't you agree? The coaches in th SEC in 2009 as compared to 2003 is not even comparable...and all Saban managed was one dominating year at LSU.
And no...Saban was here already. We saw what he could do. Up and down, up and down...though those who are still in love with him have smoothed that over. His two past season at BAMA are the aberations...he never pulled that here, so why would you think he'd suddenly do it now?

Ill play even though you quote mined that to take it out of context. the quote was in reference to ALL the quality football that has bene played since "fans" have bitched about Miles being LSU's coach. So I was referenceing the Arizona St game to now...which I'd suggest would include some damn fine football...unless you feel that there have been no quality games in any of Miles 50 wins thus far.
but hey...maybe you guys will finally get your wish and the wheels will fall off and you'll get to say you were right. Until then, I'm going to enjoy the success I waited to enjoy since I started following the program in 1982.

No link but obviously you don't think highly of your true freshman player. I would say hands down, get this player the ball once or twice every 4 downs

Yes...I disagree with the original poster big I'm oblivious to the big picture. It couldn;t just be because he's an over reacting jackass...could it?

Not competing for an SEC or a NC is not success. Just b/c you want to be up to par and be a decent football team, doesn't mean you have to spill all this bullshite to everyone.

How often did he dominate the west while at LSU...when you guys were dating? By my count it was two SEC titles...one with a team that had a 5-3 conference record.
am I missing any more of that Saban dominance while he was here?

Really?? With players like Lafell, Randle, Toliver, Ridley, Dickson, Holliday, and Jefferson you want Shep to carry the ball nearly 50% of the time. You're dumber than i thought.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I certainly disagree with the pricing rhetoric, how does a program attract and retain a great coach and staff without generating substantial revenue. The poster is also overlooking that football revenue pays for most of the other sports LSU fields, plus their facilities, too.
As far as the team, anyone that has watched the games all season should have concerns about the same mistakes happening with the same frequency every game, it is mental and should not be happening at this stage of the season. The play calling is anyone's guess, but most rational, objective people can see therein lies most of the causation as to why the team is struggling in most games.
